Only good thing about USPS is they deliver on Saturdays. Also have my Questyle amp coming in Monday. It's shipped by UPS, so they don't deliver on Saturday, but I did just change it to hold for pickup, and their will call center is open on Saturday, so maybe I can pick it up tomorrow as well!

I also have both cans, and I haven't found it to be an issue either. I don't have the music Tyll's used, but I have several thousand cd's in a very broad range of genres, and no matter what have thrown at the 812, I just haven't heard it the same way Tyll did. Which is no problem actually. We don't all hear exactly the same through headphones.

Good luck, and happy listening.

I understand. You've bought it already and would rather not know.

We know. We have it. It works on our music. We are happy. And that's all that matters. smily_headphones1.gif

Happiness is one good; knowledge is another. Let's not confuse anyone.

The K812 sounds like a "GOD" headphone to some while others "meh".  I can appreciate the enthusiasm by some early adopters,  realistically however probably a good idea to wait until the dust settles.

Lol I myself have been guilty of suffering from new toy syndrome especially in this hobby.

Rather than to judge what I hear based on what you do not, relying on a 3rd party, I think it's on you to seek these out and hear them yourself. Reviews ultimately are opinions, just look at all the professional reviews of anything you could name. I doubt very seriously that you have any real interest in the 812, no matter what actual owners hear and say you insult us with ridiculous statements based on your own bias, and not on any facts. Until you have actually heard these yourself, preferably on your own equipment, you should refrain from questioning members here that own the 812 and know what they actually hear, as opposed to your assertion that we only hear what we want.
This is one of the most childish and ridicule line of posts I have ever read on this thread.

Have you listened to it? If not, then that is third party knowledge. I speak from personal knowledge and personal joy.

Since you have decided on non-personal knowledge, and have made your point, perhaps it's time to sit back on your armchair and continue your elusive search that perfect headphone. Based on someone else's views, of course. smily_headphones1.gif

Indeed! Of course, at this early stage, we are all exchanging our experiences from having listened to it. Even for TOTL cans like the Beyer T1 or HD 800 or LCDs, the opinions are still divided. Our personal preferences will always colour our personal experiences. But that's what makes this hobby fun, isn't it? smily_headphones1.gif

Lest we forget Gents / Ladies that some critics, good or bad, will always have an opinion based on never even hearing the hp in question.

Some will wholeheartedly critique a hp with no intention of ever pulling the trigger on a $1500 + hp.

They will be ok with "mid fi" while shooting down anything remotely top tier.

Quite the opposite: I've owned AKG flagships for fifteen years and am understandably curious about this. The rest of your post is ad hominem so I have no reason to answer.
