Looking for Closed Headphone Suggestions (Sennheiser Momentum vs MrSpeakers Mad Dogs vs V-Moda...

Hello, Head-Fi! I've been lurking and researching headphones for a while and thought I'd take the leap and ask the community at large a few specific questions.

I'm looking for a closed headphone that I can use at work. For the last three years or so I've used Sennheiser HD595s. Besides being an open headphone, my biggest complaint with the 595s are the total lack of bass. I'm by no means a basshead, but at the same time I'd say that a solid bass presence is something I'm actively seeking, while not getting too loose or murky sounding. I listen to a wide variety of music (Metal, Electronic, Indie Rock, Punk Rock/Hardcore, Progressive, Folk, Soundtracks, Etc) and wear headphones around 95% of my work day so comfort is important. I'm willing to throw down $400 on headphones (potentially more) and another $300-$400 on a DAC/Headphone Amp.

From what I've read, the two choices that seem to peak my interest the most are Sennhesier Momentums and MrSpeakers Mad Dogs. The comparative questions I have about these two are:

Which has a better bass presence?
Would one excel more with a DAC/Amp?
Which isolates better?

I've also been slightly tempted to check out the V-Moda M-100, although it seems to emphasize bass a little too much and recesses vocals, which unless completely exaggerated is a deal breaker.

Any insight or other suggestions for headphones based on what I'm looking for would be appreciated! Thanks!

Don't read too much into the comments about M-100 heavy bass and recesses vocals, as it is very comparable to the Momentum.  In fact, at times the Momentum will have MORE bass as it is very focused, which the M-100 bass is much more diffussed.  Mids are recessed by not by much, and if you get the new XL pads for it, then you will get even less bass and pop up the mids.  If you are already looking for the MD, then I suggest you save a little more and get the Alpha Dog instead.

Id pick the momentum over the m100, id pick the kef m500 over the momentum.

The kef has less bass than the m100, but it is tighter, and goes just as low. The sound stage is wider, and the timbre is more natural. Get the m100 if you want to listen to hip hop and d&b (stuff like that).
