The DT1350s are very EASY to drive. So whether or not one amp will sound better or not is more likely dependent upon whether or not one amp is better than the other than the headphones (NOTE: I don't buy into the headphone amp synergy stuff when it comes to solid state amps).

OK - thanks for your interesting comments. Many reviews of the Beyer say they sound great straight from the source which is encouraging.

All I have to go on is the kit I have and when I use my UERM's straight from the source they are very, very nice, but when I use either the Pico or the E12 it just takes them to a whole new level of SQ that is impossible for me to ignore .

My AKG's are in a storage locker

I know I'm kidding my self to think that I can recreate the sound of the UE's with the 1350's or 25's, but as per up thread, I want a travel specific can, that is super durable and easy enough to slip on and off, slip one side off and chat with others and also share my music with others. Plus, they need to sound bloody good!! I will Travel with either the Pico or E12 and the UE's

When I have the CIEM's in....the rest of the world is cut off and you are 'locked in" !! Great in some circumstances, not so great in others.

It will be great to have options depending on the circumstances.

Thanks once again for your thoughts.

No, I've the hd25's and demoed these side to side. The beyers have a really bright sound signature and that may be to some people liking but not mine. Source as always with portable gear is my trusted samsung galaxy sgsi9000 voodoo sound enabled.

That's relative, of course. Sennheisers tend to have a sound signature the darker side of neutral. So really bright compared to Senns or to someone that prefers Senns? Sure, I can see that. But I didn't find the DT1350s to be "really bright" in comparison to a neutral response--not as much as other Beyers and other regularly recognized bright headphones.

Will post up my thoughts / review when they arrive and then after a few days of solid play time.

Cheers.
