cambridge audio 351a

Hello guys,

Just wanted a bit of advice as this world of audio is still fairly new to me.

I have the above amp and it's cd player partner (351c) coming to me tomorrow. I am tempted to get the sennheiser 650s to go along with this and am wondering,

1. - Will this amp have enough power to drive a 300 ohm pair?

2. - Any experiences with cambridge audio amps/similar amps in this price range and if a different headphone may suit better with cambridge audio 'sound'?

Many Thanks! :)

Welcome to head-fi

The cambridge website doesn't list the technical specs of the 351a headphone output. We can't be sure if it will be able to drive headphones such as the HD650.

Have you considered a lower impedance headphone, for example the HD598?
