Sony MDR MA900 or wait for AKG K545

Ok after another post some mention the Sony MDR MA900 will be a good choice for me... in a budget with no amp/dac.

I was waiting for reviews on the new AKG K545 but now the MA900 are under $190 which I think is really good.

My question here is: How much better could the K545 be... or even easier... how much better are the K500?

And yea I know the AKG are closed and the MA900 open.

So.... In your opinion: Should I wait for the K545? Or the MA900 are so good that there is no reason to wait?

Also I plan to buy the Fiio E07k Andes.

Any thoughts or recommendations are welcome, I can spend about $300 give or take.

Thanks in advance.

wait for the k545 which releases this month. Go buy pre-order it by searching the headphone in the search box at us.akg.com. Then if you don't like it return it quickly and get the ma900. I have not heard either but in your case I would buy them new so you don't waste your money. If you end up returning the k545 don't get it used. Me personally I am getting the k545 and will be pre-ordering it. If it is close to the k550 with more bass then I am all in. It costs 249 btw.

Ok, I'll wait for the K545... so please write a review when you get them =).

BTW is there a specific date for the release yet?

I am going for this headphone because It promises good bass but also you should have a look at the philips l2 as well. That is also a new headphone coming out.

I saw your post in another thread stating you are a bass guitar player and what you listen to. When I post my ipmpressions I will keep that in mind.

I dont know when it fully releases but it says this month.

Thanks again, and while a do play bass guitar I want something more neutral, and most of all analytical... I certainly dont mind some extra bass given the mids or highs are not compromised (I've tried some with just too much bass).

And finally I better get some closed cans cuz my "surroundings" tend to be a little louder than what it is acceptable for open ones... I'll have to sacrifice some soundstaging in order to listen comfortably to my music and not my neighbor's.

the philips l1 had good sound stage but loose bass.I probably will test the k545 and then trade it for a philips L2.

I pre-ordered the turquoise one.
