Westone 4R or Sennheiser IE800?

Looking to upgrade my portable set up and looking for some input. My desktop rig is Schiit with HD650 and I love it. I listen to a lot of jazz and hip hop and will likely just run my new IEM's out of my iPod or iPhone without an amp.

Thank for the input.

i think as a aspect of price points the westone 4R definitly have excellent sound quality at its current price point.

what other amp/dac/dap you are you using

If money is an issue, W4R or W40. If money isn't an issue, the IE800 is probably better.

@Mooses9 - Im looking to purchase the Fiio X3 once the firmware has undergone some updating or the DX50? But still trying to decide.

@Zalithian - money is always an issue I guess.

Anyone have an opinion on the IE 8? They seemed to be priced closer to the Westone's.

Thanks.

The IE8 was discontinued. The new version is the IE80. If the IE80 sounds much like the IE8 then it will be more more bassy than the W4R at least.

4R + X3 sounds fantastic. Listening to this combo as I type this and I have a big smile on my face.
