On a dollar for dollar basis, A kaiser 10 at my side is 5100++ not inclusive of shipping and tax, if you get it from singapore, you've got their profit margin to add in too. The 20% discount(or whatever amount), is about half a month or more wages for a fresh graduate(the bulk of head-fi customers) saved.

Which is why almost all my gear is second hand. Currently waiting for someone to get bored of the K10U, might be a long wait though =(

If you don't mind me asking, are you from Malaysia? If so, is the pre-tax cost of a K10 in Malaysia MYR 5,100? That's a pretty good price actually.

Btw, thanks to your nick, I'm actually craving for a Roti John now.

Like a thief in the night, I'm coming to get it.

Seriously though, where did you get yours from? I don't see any apparel being offered for sale on Noble's website.

Haha, dont think anyone sells em here. Although i think someone did try, the dita's, fitears, shures and jh is doing well here though for the 3.5k-5k range.

Price was 1600*3.2 ish, forgotten the rates went up, which is why i got somewhat anal(unfairly so) about the universals being the same price as the customs a few pages back.

Despite my nickname, i dont think ive actually eaten one before. Ahaha

They were given out as part of a promotion when people bought the K10, back in May I believe it was. I was the first on these forums to get one, we even played a little prank about a new item coming from the guys at Noble. I have both shirts, yet I don't have a set of Noble IEM's or CIEM's, its just I am awesome.

The shirts were definitely for sale on the site at one point. Seems they ran out rather quickly. They are very well made (American Apparel) unlike a lot of shirts I buy which shrink and fade quickly. If the Noble shirts ever return, I recommend snatching one up if you can.

DITAs are doing better than Noble in Malaysia? That's quite a surprise. I don't think DITA has made much headway in Singapore, despite being a local brand. Will definitely have to try them someday, though; I just have to avoid getting addicted to the sound (easier said than done). ;)

Anyway, I too was surprised to know that the universals are priced the same as the custom versions, but I guess that this is just a testament to the quality of the Kaiser 10 (and other Noble products). You can change the shell, but the innards are still the same top-notch earphone.

Btw, you really should try a Roti John sometime soon! Yummy!

Well, here's hoping that Noble does a second print for these t-shirts. I'll definitely snap one up, especially if comes in black. Noble? Christmas wish? ;)

If I remember correctly the Kaiser shirt was a one and done, the Noble shirt was for sale for a while. Noble shirt is blue.

I'm still waiting for red Noble t-shirts

Ow, shucks. Well, at least the normal Noble t-shirts look pretty good too.

I believe AT&T did a study years ago which concluded that each customer who was either satisfied or dissatisfied would ultimately influence 270 others.  I suspect this is even more true today with social media.  In the end, it depends on where John wants to take Noble Audio.  My recommendation would be to have very infrequent short sales i.e. Black Friday affairs.

Well, I wouldn't discount to sway those on the fence, maybe throw in a free t-shirt or offer complementary upgrade or service like design. Even if I'd consider discounting, I'd never rebate my flagship product and risk lowering its (and the brand's) perceived value. But that's me and fans, friends and those on the fence would be happy to know that I have no influence whatsoever on Noble sales and marketing policies.

Yes, I forget the average age of head-fiers here (which explains much), but sorry, you're wrong, for the same reason LV, Apple, Rolex, Bentleys, et al, do not discount to make their goods more affordable anywhere any time.

Unfortunately, Noble is not any of those companies. I don't see them diluting their brand at all by offering a discount. Considering the small market they have, I'm sure they need every way possible to make money. Small sales throughout the year, IMHO, will only help them. Just my .02

Yes I would agree here. The target customer base is inherently very different. In economics we would categorize such goods/brands as goods of snob appeal. Frankly I dont think iems should be branded/ marketed as such. I certainly wouldnt buy an iem for this purpose. Just my 2 cents worth as well.

We probably should move away from this topic.

I definitely have two blue Noble shirts, and one of the white Kaiser Soze shirts.  Or rather, "had", because my wife has claimed them for herself...
