Anyway, the K10 sound awesome.
I don't know how it works, but with the K10 even my MacBook sounds great (I haven't used the Mac output since..., but yesterday I've tried out of curiosity... wanted to make them to reveal some weakness... failed :D )

Yes! I do plan on having another San Diego meet. I haven't even started to plan it yet, but usually it's the first Saturday in November at the Coronado Library in Coronado. I need to get started on that. Keep an eye out in the Head-Fi meet forum for an announcement.

As far as a social San Diego, sounds like fun. Not sure how many San Diego Head-Fiers there are, but there are some for sure.

I was thinking that if we could find at least five Head-Fiers in SD, we could simply meet for lunch, or dinner, as that's after work for many (not me though) and share our experiences, sample each other's portable gear and generally just have fun w/o expectation.

The Noble PR sold me on the quality of Nobles product, I have heard the K10 but not for a long enough time for me to remember what it sounds like I like it at the time, but I think I will get a Noble 4C in the near future. Maybe a K10 as end game portable setup. Do you guys use the K10 out of your phone or on a desktop/portable amp?

Also I think if everyone was as friendly as Brannan at the meets I would have listened to the other custom IEMs.

When I first read, I thought you were going to say "Also I think if everyone was as friendly as Brannan....there would be world peace".

I'm impressed by the flexibility of my K10.
It sounds fantastic with every source I've tried so far, including direct play from a MacBook, iPhone etc.

My Shure SE846 were really picky (made me even order the Chord Hugo, and in fact the Hugo made it shine), however for the K10 the source is less critical, and I love that I don't need to bother about the source.

That said, I do prefer the sound of the K10 with a Hugo or AK240 highly over a direct play (MacBook, iPhone), but you hear the quality of the K10 also with cheaper sources (where the SE846 suffered).

Thats good, I think if I have a K10 I wont be getting the AK240 soon after or the other way around.
