Noble Audio - the Wizard returns! - Page 318

post #4756 of 5560

As I had forgotten to mention in my previous post (http://www.head-fi.org/t/684787/noble-audio-the-wizard-returns/4740#post_10661082), I listen to several genres of music which include electronica, classical, rock, R&B, jazz, swing, rap, and pop. Any thoughts on what might be the best between the 4C and K10 or should I just aim for the top?

post #4757 of 5560

I have not tried the 4C, but as a K10 owner, I can tell you the K10 works for any music genre. It is expensive, but amazingly good, and I am done with trying out iems and ciems.

If money isn't the issue, K10 all the way.

Good point. Now to start saving for impressions, the K10, and (possibly) a DAP.

Thanks for the suggestion Watagump. I tend to stay as light as possible however. I'm also a tinkerer at heart so I was looking at this:

K10

iBasso DX{50||90} running rockbox

I figure even the iBasso DAPs might be too large for how I roll or stroll, but they should have the power needed to drive the K10 properly.

The K10s don't need much in terms of amplification, but the DX90 does drive them very well. As far as I'm aware, there is no Rockbox available for the DX90, at least not yet.

Sounds like a good plan, I also don't like all the bulk of amps etc. But that's mostly because I am using my setup at work and I am moving around all the time. A DX90 and K10 would be a solid sounding combo.
