That isn't something I'd considered before. For those buying Noble customs in the US, did you get hit with import duties upon delivery?

I did not pay customs duty.

Yes, I had to pay UPS customs fees for both my K10 and the wife's 4C.

IE-800 is really good, I love the SQ. I'm just really craving my K-10. The K-10 will be run with a Balanced cable, out of my AK-240, something I can't do with the IE-800.

So I am really liking the sound of the K10s. The sound is really clean and very neutral without sounding so technical. On the go, the K10 really performs well either from the Chord Hugo or the ipod, though I really prefer the chord hugo. I have also used it with the headphone out on my preamp using a Meitner MA-1. I have also listened using vinyl and the same pre-amp. Sounds great any way you do it, though I will say that I noticed surface noise from my turntable much more than I do when listening to my speakers. It may be the added isolation. I am not sure. Astral Weeks sounds glorious through the K10s.

OK, the sound. I tend to focus on acoustic driven rock/folk/alt-country music. The mid-range is superb on these and it really shines with the guitar work. The bass extremely well defined and not boomy at all, and the high end does not sound rolled off in any way. It does not quite have the definition that the RAAL tweeter based speakers I have in my home system, but they still sound amazing. I would call them generally neutral, but not boring. They certainly bring out details in music I didn't hear with Shure 535s. You get more clear details. Picks hitting strings, hammers hitting bells, pedals of a piano falling, etc. are all clearly audible. I think the one thing that surprised me is that the K10 doesn't make terrible recordings unbearable, but you can certainly hear the issues that a given recording has. Now my speakers at home sound better than the K10s generally, but that is to be expected as they are speakers and much more expensive than the K10s. All in all, the K10s are amazing CIEMs.

As to the fit, it is right on. Clean seal I can live with for hours without needing to adjust. Have not found a way to get it to unseal when using normally. They are just made really well. With all of that said, the general Wizard design of the K10s is really

not exceptional. In full disclosure I gave Noble an idea what I wanted. Something that would sort of go with my watch and not be garish, but be understated. You can look back and see the watch I have. I guess that the watch and my instructions were not inspirational. Instead of contacting me to discuss it, my K10s were made with basic silver carbon fiber on the left and basic grey/black carbon fiber on the right. There is not much else going on with them (though the Wizard signature is red on one side, silver on the other). What I learned from this experience is that if you want a Wizard design, I guess you should just send in the money and not say what you want. I bet you will end up with a masterpiece.

In sum, the K10s sound great and are, in fact, the best headphone/iem I have ever owned or heard. However, I wish the design was more exciting.

Yes Sir, but that requires me buying a new pair of IE-800's. There's a few guys over on the AK-240 thread, that love them balanced.
