any chance you can hold off dying until after you wrote review?

10 drivers require quite a bit of space, so possibly people with very small ears might not be able to get a K10.

The ear size is one thing.. and yes 10 drivers require quite a bit of space.. and yes my ears are small..

But the worst part is that my ear canal opening in my left ear is sooo d*** narrow that it may be impossible to have three tubes going through..

The 'universal-CIEM' demo of the K10 did not seem outrageously large, so perhaps it is more the tubing/ear canal size ratio that is in question, rather than the 10 drivers.

For some folks one or the other will be an issue, and for others both would make the K10 a no go. I have known many people, though, whose concha are so small that a custom iem would have to jut out very far from their ears. At any rate, I hope that no one here is unable to get the K10 because of fit issues.

You are correct. I got relatively small ears, but I got a "probably" for the ear size.. but for the canal size they were more uncertain..

Alright! My Kaiser 10's arrived today!

Most importantly..... the fit is perfect. (whew, sigh of relief) The build quality is top-notch, not a rough spot or bubble anywhere. The canals are much deeper than my Heir CIEM's (as requested) and are spot-on.

First impressions on the sound are very very good, although I only have listened straight out of my iPod touch. (I'm in between portable setups at the moment, waiting for my replacement M8). Certainly clearer and more airy than the 8.A's. I look forward to getting to know these! And see how they scale on a better source.

The smoked eucalyptus faceplates are interesting. indoors, they look like a deep deep brown, almost black. In the sunlight a little pattern in the wood grain emerges, and shifts and shimmers a bit. Very subtle. I'll try to get a couple pictures up soon but it's probably difficult to get a good pic because it's so dark and so subtle.

And I think this is my 1000th post? Fitting to discuss the K10

Congrats on the K10, awaiting pics :D

Been listening to my pair a lot. Sleeping pretty late, went to bed at like 4-5am last couple of nights.

Really enjoying them with Arthur Beatrice at the minute.
