At least you're looking at the bright side.
It's funny, I actually find the K10s to be slightly lean in bass. We all have different ears.
Check your cable, when worn the dots on the cable should point upwards (or to the back). If they are put on the wrong way, you get leaner bass.
Cheers.

Please tell me you are joking?
You just had it out of phase. By switching one around you put it back into correct phase.
Exactly and it affected the bass the most.
The difference was (to my ears) - hmmm, pretty lean, to yummy yummy bass quality. I am just letting you know that in my experience the K10 reacted very strong to wrong phase, while other headphones might not. Just one thing to "check" if you are experiencing lean bass. Hence, I mentioned it.
Cheers.
I should have my K10s next week!! Now the wait is painstakingly agonizing.
