Iphone 3gs - Will i require a portable amp ?

Thread Starter

I currently have my iphone3gs loaded with about 28gb 's worth of Apple Lossless CD's that i have ripped from my collection, i think the sound quality is decent..... but would i seen an improvement if i also used a decent headphone amp,  my headphones are a set of Audio Technica's.

I may be changing to an iphone 5s 64gb soon so the same question would apply.

Thanks

personally i think you would, when i was using a ipod i always used a amp, also a line out dock is great.

i think if you went with a amp and LOD you would benifit, but depending on your price range.

Just get the VentureCraft Go-DAP 3 for $20 if you don't want a new phone.
