Looks nice. But I just have a feel its price won't be too nice....

As a lower model to the TH600, it might be in the $400-$800 range

Hoping closer to 400 than 800...

But since they are not in the TH line, They can really price it any way they want as the RP "flagship" with the dreaded flagship price.

Yeah I'm not sure. The rep said it was part if the TH line as a lower model. It also has the TH pads and headband.

Interesting, I really hope it's a planar. Too bad we don't know anything at all about it. Even a little bit of information could be crucial.

RP  should  be Regular Phase which is their way of saying isodynamic.

Info from the booth itself

For a modified T50 driver as they said, only thing I can think of offhand is they may have drilled out larger holes in the keeper plates, similar to what was done way back on the Russian forums...

That would keep it easy for manufacturing and free up the diaphragm a bit more. Just a guess.

Fostex isn't showing up with a $400 can. Its probably closer to $699 to $799. Just look at those pads! You're not putting new cushy big azz pads like that on a new semi open can that will pretty much promise to have the most bass ever on an open can. I'm very interested but will stick with my D7000's until I can get my hands on the TH600's.

Thanks,

Should I buy a T50rp instead before they get out of production? Not willing to spend 500$ for a tuned driver, although I would love to have the same TH600-900 form factor...

I certainly hope they don't go out of production for a long time. MrSpeakers entire business model depends on those drivers.
