New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne" - Page 418

Not really- there isn't a need for iems to sink as low as 15 ohm or less, and I'll argue its an engineering flaw to have impedance dip to extremes (under 12 ohms), but I can see this going nowhere, so I'll leave it be- enjoy.

Okay, great debate going on here, but with the specs that are given for the Roxanne, is it good? If you look at those specs, will you buy it given that you're only going to use it with an iPhone.

iPhone 5S will be fine- it's around 2 ohm OI. 4 and 4S will be good too (around 1 ohm). The regular iPhone 5 might cause some issues with its 3.3 OI. Maybe some iPhone 5 users can chime in.

I am starting to appreciate my roxanne, just a question for those who have tried both universal and custom, are there much difference between the two? in terms of sound, of cos its gonna be more comfortable with the custom but in terms of the sound, is there a lot of difference?

Another question about the UF, I was googling about the UF and custom. Come across two types of UF. Are there any differences between the two?

What I am less convinced with so far is the treble...lacks some air with the 901...maybe source and cable will help but my 240 is away.

Are you using HD or Vintage on the 901 Mike? If you are using Vintage, that's bad, don't do that! :-)

I think you once said you are on mostly HD though...but just checking...

Personally, I think the custom sounds much better.

I doubt that.  When it's seal right, I don't think the two will differ that much.  But again I never tried the custom version so I cannot be sure.

I tried both, and the difference is obvious.

I did too and observed a notable difference - but I'd say within the realm tips could account for IMO.  Not too dissimilar to how my TG!334 sounds w/ the stock vs. Ortofon tips.

Does that mean, I can good with my universal then? Any ideas on the two different universals?

Oh and by the way, CF box is very pretty and well built, but it is the least convenient thing I have used since toilet paper in a can.

When you remove the custom tray it is actually quite usable, but I suppose pelican or ottetbox will be more convenient. I'll try it soon.

I did that aswell, took the tray out and use the carbon box as my 'At home storage'. For travelling, I bought the metal round JH case.
