Since JH Audio is selling the idea that we can all be rockstars, I’d expect a rockstar treatment. I’d like to think that my order gets the same attention and care than Justin Timberlake’s. (I hope he did not have to wait 5 months for his CIEMS.)

I believe Jerry is a good guy, passionate by music and well intentioned. But his efforts are ruined by poor customer management. No ones like to be reduced to a confirmation number and be forgotten for months. JH Audio could use a few tips from luxury houses on how to deal with mistakes.

A few suggestions for a $1599, rockstar customer service:

- have one JH-trained audiologist and one JH rep locally in charge of "customer experience"

- an e-mail at every step of the process

- in case of delays, a call from the staff

- utmost care to presentation and quality of final product

I agree and respectfully disagree with minor details.

I went to JHA outside of Orlando in November. I happen to be on vacation visiting Mickey Mouse and it was a tremendous experience, the person to person customer service couldn't have been better. I DID feel like a rock star. Angie was there alone initially and could not have been more helpful, running between me and the phone. She had a lot of insight into the various models which was helpful. Corbyn came in later and eventually took my order. She was also great. Easy to work with and a real pleasure to deal with.

It was when Jerry arrived (I think unexpectedly) that things got really good. He is absolutely down to earth. Passionate about music and his flagship product. He allowed me to use his personal AK to compare better quality music formats than my iPhone. He took me in to his office to show me all the parts of the Roxanne's waiting to be assembled. I don't know that I was star struck, but it was really a great experience. It gave me a lot of confidence in my decision to purchase from JHA.

I flat out asked if Roxanne was on track to begin shipping the end of Nov. The answer was unequivocally was "YES". I was told there were quite of few orders already in early Nov, so I was likely looking at early Jan for delivery. Ok fine, I can deal with that.

In following this thread, it sounded like all of the issues and problems surrounding this rollout happened while Jerry was traveling around Asia. Could there have been a worst time to absent? Two years of research, planning and work left unattended.

With all of the problems mounting, never was there a formal announcement posted on their website explaining what was going on. WHY? I think most people would have handled the news regarding problems/delays much differently. I think there would have been minimal if any bashing if people had the truth from the top instead of here say on Head-fi.

I will also agree with others that the roll out of new products sure gives me a bad taste in my mouth. I understand that the universal market volume will likely blow away the custom market, but you can't ignore the core loyalty that were there in the beginning. The Roxanne problems should have been solved before opening new cans of worms.

Hiding behind the verbiage that the Roxanne orders were "pre orders only" does not fly with me. It said, in the same sentence "with deliveries beginning late November". Also the inability to give an estimated ship date or any other helpful information this many months removed from the launch really makes me question what is going at JHA. Absolutely nothing needs to be said about the manufacturing quality issues other than WTF!!! This isn't a start up operation.

After 5 months of waiting, I feel like I've earned some about of right to complain a bit (despite some admin policing these pages). This time waiting has taken away a lot of the joy considering it's just a hobby.

I hope once JHA get their feet on the ground, they reflect on this dismal situation and look for ways to improve. I think if they learned something and it improves future experiences, it will be better for all.

As I stated before, my Black Friday CF order should ship at the end of May according to Angie. So this should be able to place your deliveries more or less. This thing better sound good...I have the VE6x control demo now and it sounds really nice.

She must have made a mistake.
That's nuts!

If you like VE 6, I can tell you that you will certainly disappoint the roxanne's proformance, I tried both demo last week, it was night and day, I wish I could get my refund on roxanne... More drivers really doesn't mean better performance!

I had exactly the same sentiment. The lack of ETA really drives you nuts. They could just posted a 1 liner message on their webpage or facebook and it should make a whole lot of difference. I got my Roxanne and honestly, enjoying it very much. But the purchase and waiting experience left a sour taste on my mouth. Something to remind me of on future purchases. Not just for JHA but for any product launches in general.

Offering CF is killing them.

I did post on their FB once about the delay before I decided to cancel my order. But the post has somehow gone missing.

I've met Jerry and Corbyn and they are super people, as others have already pointed out. Jerry is very passionate about his products and company, but importantly is going to be as frustrated with problems as his customers are. It affects him far more than it affects a customer. So it seems like a lack of communication, especially after carbon fibre and cable issue delays, has been the main problem. It does feel like you're being ignored and the company doesn't care if you don't get any contact about delays and especially if you don't get a reply to emails.

Something to consider too: The amount of work required as customer orders increase is not linear in proportion to the number of customers, but exponential.

No doubt Jerry is an awesome chap having met him in person a couple of
times.
But I feel that JH being a well-known company as they are, shouldn't have needed to do a pre-order promotion in the first place.

It risks accumulating way too many orders than they can fulfill when work hasn't started yet, plus problems (eg cable issues) causing unexpected delays and thus creating negative publicity as a result.
