Yeah, I looked up your impressions this morning after I had taken my final notes. I think we hear them basically the same way.

I've had enough. Are JH taking the PISS. Not sure about you guys that have ordered but I would be suing JH at this point now if I were in your shoes which thankfully I'm not. I am not prepared to wait hundreds upon hundreds of days after having spent thousands. I get that it takes time, but there is a fine line between taking time and taking the piss. I am losing trust of JH now. Even after people have waited for their CIEMs to arrive they still have defects. They must be on some good ****, sending out products either knowing they have issues or they just can't be asked inspect the quality. At the price point this is ridiculous. Looks like fitear for me as of now.

Yes. The K10 was just demo I auditioned for 2 hours. I am still waiting on them as I said.

One of the cable makers just told me that the 4 pin plug will be molded on to each cable with an injection molding machine.

I'm guessing JH is supplying the locking nut and the molds.

Definitely not a diy connector...

Where do you guys demo the K10 out of curiosity?

I guess that the situation has changed. ALO Audio has lowered their price to $1299 like everybody else and issued me a refund of the $300 difference. Can't complain about that!

Well, that is good news. I couldn't understand how pre-order prices at other places would not be honored, if the price was indeed raised.

Could someone with a universal Roxanne tell me the approximate nozzle diameter?

Wondering this myself. Do they just let you sit there for 2 hours listening away?

I think there are several retail stores and hifi audio shows already have k10 demos. I was just lucky to find a k10 demo in the bristol hifi show last month. I went there twice and auditioned 1 hour each time. The guy there was extra nice and let me take the demo to a quite area, so I didn't get distracted by the noisy speakers they have in there.  My hope was very low (lower than on roxanne) on K10 before I auditioned, but had to make my wallet cry after some serious listening......

In my case they made an appearance 9 days ago at the LA meet.  There were over 200 head-fiers there, and there are some impressions in the meet thread for it.

I will say there are a few people there (not upper-tier CIEM users) who made similar claims about the Roxannes, in that something was off or they were not totally grabbed by them and liked or preferred the K10s.

I spent about 40 minutes going back and forth w/ the Roxannes and K10s and came out inconclusive.  I can see what people who prefer them are getting at, and in fact feel they share more in common w/ the 13s than the 13s do w/ the Roxannes.  That said, the Roxannes still have a depth/sense of space to the sound that seems unique for an IEM.  The thing I felt was closest to their presentation oddly enough was the UERM - like a thicker/darker version of that.

EDIT: clarifying inconclusive - if I lost my Roxannes today, I wouldn't go buy another pair (even in a perfect world where we knew the turnaround a customer service was tops), nor would I just plunk down for the K10.  I'd sit idly by for the next sale to happen and in the meantime try to get more demo time.  The K10 is impressive for sure, but the Roxanne trends toward the sound sig I prefer.

I would say that is right on about the Roxanne's. I wish I had the opportunity to try both somewhere, but no one has them around here.

The Roxanne's have a thick sound, and the treble roll of makes that more noticeable. I was hoping for a JH13 type sound but better. I am huge on treble and could do without bass (which is why I wasn't interested in Noble). Bloated bass turns me off no matter how good the rest of it is.

The one thing that's similar with the Roxanne and my Grado HP-2 is that they take a song or two to start to drift off into their world. they have a darker sounding treble, but overcome that making it worth it. No other phone or IEM I've heard with laid back treble interests me other than these two.

Unfortunately, my right ear doesn't have as good a seal as the left causing me to send them back for a second refit, but I was just starting to get into them again. Its just that they are very musical and addicting even though my preference is the complete opposite. I was really surprised to hear Tupac mention them sounding analytical. I hear the exact opposite.

No new cable yet, but Corbyn  said they were sending what new cables they had to file orders...  Oh and she said they will more than likely be able to make longer cables if you want in the near future.

Hey just to make you guys feel better here is a picture out the window here in the great white north...

The snow up against he building was not there about three hours ago. The wind is 30+MPH 16 degrees F (feels like -2) and the snow is going to be about 13 to 19 inches by the morning.
