From what I heard from a local store, it will be called the Ak-03 and slighty more expensive than the univsersal Roxanne.

I think Carbon Fiber is cool, but at the end of the day I am not really sure it makes a difference.  It seems like most of the wait revolves around the CF, and the Acrylic version looks really good.  I am surprised JH as a company would go through all this trying to come to market with a solid CF ear mold that has not been laid up.  I am sure this has been covered as I am late to the party, just my 2c

I asked on the impressions thread but this one seems more active.

Can anybody here answer this for me ? To those of you who like a neutral sound signature: Do you think the Roxanne is the best IEM you have heard ?

With the bass set at neutral that is.

I hope so, just orderd mine last night.  I have the JH 3A, and my fit was perfect, so that was a big plus.  However the 3A's are real thumpers.

...WTF? Seriously, Jerry Harvey?

MEGA FAIL.

So we shot an e-mail over to Drew ASAP. I'm assuming they just... uh... somehow left these out at the factory? I'm hoping we don't have to wait several more months for them to make more of them.

I hope they send you another set ASAP. I'd be pissed and afraid the company might not believe me and get screwed out of all that money.

They should give you an extra pair of Roxannes to make up for it. Or maybe request for JH's AK240 as compensation wink.gif

Okay, Drew got ahold of JH and they contacted me right away. They were apologetic and said they'd send one overnight. Thank goodness... it's a load off our minds, for sure.

Klein. They are in bass like the combo I have them too in FP. But the upper mids are a little more recessed.

So vocals are a laid back orientation. Not bad they are really good sounding. But for me a little EQ to make them more like a jh16 sound. But layers and details good as well.

That's great news. I've had deliveries stolen a few times before and it was a pain to get another shipped out. I'm glad they trusted you and are going to do you right.

Al- I was surprised how the EQ on the AK120 woke up my 3A FP, I maxed out the EQ and bing, the sound was so detailed.  If the Roxanne's get close without the use of the amp I will be happy.

I played with the EQ on my hdp r0

It does up to 6 db. And it was enough to make them almost as detailed
As the JH13 FP. So close enough for me.
But it does have much more layers and as such a overall euphoric
Sound. So I am happy I purchased them.
Also try other sources as well. I owned the AK120
And there is more detailed to be heard
But it is a great DAP as is too.

If it's me your asking
The hibino HDP R10. I have it two years plus
I use it alone or with the iBasso PB2 pelican
Bal amp.

I just received the Roxanne UF (Universal Fit) from ALO Audio. They do indeed have a carbon fiber face plate (under the acrylic). Need to do some tip rolling this afternoon.

I'll try more tip rolling but the comfort / sound of the universal fit have been iffy for me
My ears aren't too big so I definitely feel these pressing my ear
Second, to my ears I feel like there's just a lack of resolution, everything just feels soft
I'll try different amps and tips and then will update
