But she said no the new cables came in a little early and they are black plastic and should be fine. She also said all the people who ordered black but said ok to white are indeed getting black as ordered . I also thoght i ordered the flying girl in plAtinum . Bit no again I did not. And it does look really cool without it anyway. Now I just need them made for me and I am all done. As Angie did not know why they are like they are , she did say it must go to service as a refit . I laughed and said this is not a refit but a redo , she laughed but said they will deside. All in All it is what it is. But the sound is very good so eventually I will be happy. She also said the refit happens much faster . I said thanks.

Sounds like they sent you somebody else' Roxanne lol

I know it sounds crazy but I am sure it is the case they are nothing like my molds.

Anyway I did some comparisons with the jh16 FP and jh13fp.

I will, try to explain the differences in them.

First off detail to the extreme the jh13 still wins here
. The tone is more what I hear in speakers and other headphones like the HE6 and HD800. For the jh13
Now the Roxanne is closer toThe tone of the lcd3 so a, little not dull, but darker . So males sound a little deeper and so females are off too.
Now bass detail well here it is very good perhaps close to the detail of the 13 but impact of the 16.
Now here is where it excels it has a more intense presentation it makes you feel closer to the music. This is very good like the HE6 and hd800. But like The he6 it is just more musical .
But the hd800 gives you much more detail.
Now the 13 seems light in over all weight but this gives you the high level of detail where the Roxanne is less detail but more presentation. The 16 is in the middle.
The Roxanne is a better 16 type sound in some ways.
Now music used is my ref stuff and just redbook but a very detailed cd. It's jazz i would think classical will be better than the 13 . The presentation has layers and overall
Very good , it's just when you compare you hear what is missing or over emphasized .
The player was my HDP r10 and no additional amp. Using the additional amp improved both , but not an enormous amount so it's fine without an external amp. But I am sure I will use one to get all I can when I am using it.
Also bass was better in detail when there was more impact needed so it's obvious to me the Roxanne has much more reserve than the 13 does. So I can imagine high impact music will be better with the Roxanne
A final thought is I am glad I bought the Roxanne it is a much better 16 so as it is an improvement and worth while to me.
I read the balance cables are coming I will buy one but I do not expect a improvement , but hey I have two BAL amps that are portable . So why not .

I hope this helps people it is just what I hear and not an absolute .

if you give it more time, it will reveal more details than what your hearing now. The bass pot is also getting tighter. the difference between 9pm to 2pm is now more subtle than before and not drastic when it was out of the box.

The 4pm no longer sound boomy ridiculous than before.

This is without a good seal yes?
No of course a good seal two sets of soft wraps and holding them in place. . Once I played around the seal was fine just not cool as holding them in and after my ears were a little sore. Wow how much more nice the other CIEM,S felt when I put them in. LOL. anyway ask what you wish. If need be.

My friend, ask around, that's not a good seal.
I own 11 pairs of CIEMS. And I am not a reviewer I buy them. The seal was good enough i was pressing them in. But it's fine if you feel I wasted my time . I feel good at what I heard .

And I do not have to ask if the seal was not good they would be bright and lack bass .

I haven't heard the Roxanne yet (soon) and have only heard the jh13fp and jh16fp in demo form. However, I wanted to note that Al's comparison seems to correspond well with a few other private comparisons audiophiles have shared with me about their JH ciems--they found the JH13fp wins for those who like clarity.

I agree with this.
Roxanne sounds dark to me. I have the bass setting at 2pm, used it with zx1, it sounds too thick and with 240 they sound fine and prefer the 240 for them.

The thing with Roxanne is there's no specific sound signature because of the variable bass. You find it dark and some find it warm with higher bass setting. Try setting it a 9 o'clock and you'll get better clarity, wider, deeper stage and better imaging.

It's what makes Roxanne unique you won't be bored. Feed it with a very good source and it it will give you the best possible presentation with better mastered recordings. It also goes for the opposite, bad recording really sound bad.
