Yes. CF with black cable, which worries me. As I have not got a call or mail about switching to clear cable.

Don't worry. It was just an email reply. I do not believe it. If it does get shipped even by the end of next week I will be shocked. But I will post results.
Now keep in mind there was no offer to change cable either.

I have some feedback about the CF case that came with my roxanne.

It does look and feel very nice in the hand indeed. The metal frame is perfectly machined.
To me,I feel the metal is more of the highlight rather than the CF itself since there are flaws on the CF. Better then previous claims but still not perfect.
I believe JHA can save some time and money by replacing CF with a high quality Plactic /Arcylic and have the same metal frame wrap around it.
This could speed things up a bit for them and achieve the same visual effect.

I can't really see myself making use of the case other then place it on my desk at work and look at it once in a while.

So ya my 2 cent is if you don't care about the case or not particular fond of CF than just go for the metal round case.
You not really missing out on that much.

It does seem that the CF case is more of a show piece/long-term storage, too bulky and perhaps tricky to put the iems in for regular use.

I feel that the metal case is quite nice, much more so than the generic pelican that came w/ my 334s.

It's definitely a show piece you'd keep at home.

To those who are still waiting patiently for their roxanne:

IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT!!!

If you own a JHA nonfreq like me it is not 1 or 2 step forward it like 4-5 step forward.

I have been listening to my new Roxanne all day at work today.. and thought is was decent..

But when i got home I decided to do some AB test between this and my JH16pro(nonfreq) and LCD-3.

This Roxanne makes the 16pro sound cheap. It make the 16pro sound like a $100 iem.

The difference is so dramatic i give up comparing after 2 songs.

The 16pro sound congested ,harsh and muddy in comparison.

I remember reading another headfi stating that the R sound more like headphones (really good ones) than IEMs.

I am in total agreeance with that.

I would say it sound very similar to the LCD-3 with the LCD having a slight upper hand.

The high are indeed a bit layback ..I feel a bit more spark in the high end would be nice.

Hopefully a silver cable will fix that.

The bass..well some say 2pm is like 16pro..but i feel it more like 1pm. But is hard to compare because sometimes is not quantity but quality. The bass is a bit tighter and more detailed. 2pm is probably the max i will go anything more would be like listening to 2 subwoofer. I

The roxanne pairs very well with my ak240..

Wow happy to hear that! Can't wait for mine now!

I agree with the "sound more like a full size headphone".

The only complain I may have is that they are really "big" inside the hear (you need room to fit those 12 drivers :-), and this despite (I believe) a good fit, cause me some discomfort.

--> Do some of you also experience this also or is it finally a bad imprint that need a refit from JH ?

Is this your first CIEM? If yes give it a week. Your ear will adjust. I got the same discomfort when I had my JH16 for the first week.

Yeah i have a good fit but after 2 hours of wear my ears felt sore. After a week it feels comfortable even after few hours of wear.

Did you do a big or small bite block impression?

Try it for a week and let your ears accustomed. If you get hot spots, then its time for a refit.

How long have you had yours?

It wasn't until Day 5 and ~30 wear until my ears began to really relax to mold to the IEMs.

I am in the EXACT same boat. My seal is great, but they are HUGE and a little snug and actually hurt to put in sometime. My JH13s pop in and out with no issue, but they are 5 years old and my ears have changed...I am going to give mine another week or so to get my ears used to them and after about 10-15 mins of being "in" they get better from a discomfort. I really dont want to send them back becuase my seal and sound is so good now, Im hoping my ears with actual adjust and get used to it...

Is this typical for cables to break so frequently? I do not stand impressed, and I am now being deterred from getting a CIEM if I'm going to be spending a fortune only to have the cable break.
Seems like the route is back to headphones if that is the case.
