Even then, you are wearing customs, its going to be much more secure than universals in the event of an accident.

How about walking with just the dap on hand?

I'm pretty sure the inertia from the swinging will tug the cable enough to eventually cause a failure?

It was one thing i couldn't test while auditioning the demo.

I don't notice a difference with let say my JH16 with the stock cable. The Roxanne cable does not swing more than the JH16's. The pot is very light and should not have much downward pull on the cable.

Anyone else?

The K10 sounds like a killer unit, and probably at this point if I had $$ in hand and wanted to put it somewhere I'd pick that as the safe bet.  That said, JH Audio is not terribly well loved at this time, and well... the Wizard has a Val Kolton-esque presence on head-fi.
count me in:) I still think the k10 demo sounded better than my Roxanne now. I am unlikely to change my mind after I receive my k10 unless it doesn't sound as good as the demo.

That makes for an interesting DIY project. Cable-rolling which actually have noticeable changes.
Perhaps you can mesaure the resistance for each bass level setting you prefer and then make a cable with a fix resistor to the bass line to get the same effect.

Maybe can have few after-market cables for different bass level... :p

I wonder what happened to the cable kits that Jerry had sent out the makers.
Does anyone know who will be making aftermarket cables for the Roxanne?

With the current delays with both customs and universal, I don't think 3rd party cable makers are in a hurry to make cables for Roxannes yet.

DHC Cables is offering a fixed pot if you'd like:), they even offer smaller 'custom' bass adjusters.

I can offer this regarding the k10 to Roxanne. Before I ordered the Roxanne I was intent on the buying the K10 .
So I emailed them as a way to understand the house sound of the iem. I own two hier audio iems one is 4AI
And the other is the 8A. I was told the K10 is modded close to the 8A. Now what does this mean. Well the one in have is not a close up presentation as the jh audio iems, are. It is the difference between the lcd3 and the HE6 . The LCD is the K10 and the He6 is the Roxanne . The K10 is for people who like the big stage sound of bands and especially classical.
And they sound great if that is what you want. I use them and add a 6 db boost across the whole spectrum above 400 hz .
I do this to compilation for the resesed mids and highs. If you read the thread that kunlin wrote he does explain about the concept. In the end after emails with the the new K10 the iem was not for me. But they do have iems with a different. Sound but I just went ahead and ordered the jh roxanne . I hope this clears things up. As they both are really good iem,s

Not really.

Are you saying that the mids are recessed - similar to the 8A? Which is why you've boosted the spectrum?

Yes I did . They are mid recessed and treble rolled off .

Really? I've never heard of ciems being shipped with an extra mistaken hole drilled in the shell as a failed attempt at a sound tube. I think JHA is unique in that.

Also, shipping an entire first run of flagship custom iems out with faulty cables is unique to JHA, as far as I remember.

Occasional driver failures and small cosmetic flaws are common, though, yes.

Jh audio is going through something now
This is true. But no other company had the amount of sales
As jh audio. And they will make good in time
I in the end we need to just enjoy the music
And not bicker about things that just happen
The percentage of failure s is way below
1% And the cable issue is the only real
Issues that is real and concerns many
IEMS

I have and could name 3 major players but don't want to get into slamming them as they all tend to make good. In fact this specific issue was mentioned on another make last year. Last year also had one of their largest competitors with longer wait times for any CIEM. Another had back caps falling off. Folks waited over a year for promised silver cables with purchase. Ask Lee730 about his purchase from another maker. This stuff happens. It shouldn't and doesn't make it acceptable overall but it happens. Making it right is what matters most here and all the big players try to.

Al, you should try reducing below 400hz instead and give another listen. Raising everything above the bass tends to be less linear in the more ear sensitive ranges. Your preference may/will not change but the results may be better.

Thanks i tried that first as minus is better.
But my dap only does 6 db max.
And cutting it helped but adding and and a little cut
Puts it close to the jh16 sound. They are really polished and sound great too
The base is very detailed

My CF Roxannes are ready to be shipped, but according to the dealer only clear cables are available. Should be arriving in 2-3 days time as I'm in Singapore. FINALLY.

I ordered near 20+ oct but didn't send in impressions as I had gotten a pair of JH16s earlier in September
