But as we will no doubt hear from the mods this is all academic discussion and should get back to talking about the Roxanne's and not he policies of random companies...

To that end, my clear cables are still holding strong, no cracked nuts...biggrin.gif

Those are some great examples that I wasn't aware of, thanks.
Ideally the customer shouldn't assume all of the risk
I was just saying, I can understand when a manufacturer wants to assume none of the risk.

I hope I get the aluminum nuts.
If the aluminum nuts begin to fail too, maybe they'll make brass nuts smily_headphones1.gif

That's what they told me, also.  Corbyn also said they would send me the Aluminum cable when it is ready.  Should be in a couple weeks...??

My only concern with the aluminum nuts is the earpiece fittings, probably why the plastic nuts were done the way they were in the first place.  But that is only a guess, taken from some comments from JH.  This is also why Jerry did the pipe wrench video...this will apply even more so when the AL nuts start getting released to the wild.

Wedding invitations
Photographers
Venues
Florists
Musicians

Do you want me to continue?

They all take deposits (for product/work that is tailored to your requests), and then collect the balance on the day they perform (or shortly beforehand), or the day they deliver their product.

I was defending JHA a few pages back saying that because the product is custom, it takes a custom amount of time to manufacture. That's fair. The point I am trying to support here is what someone else mentioned that a deposit/balance form of payment is much more suitable when the order/delivery timeframe is so big. If you don't agree with that, then you must not be very good at investing money. In three months by investing a moderate amount of money, you can make earn enough interest to pay for a Roxanne order. Why should JHA have our money instead?

Don't get all defensive bro, I have my Roxanne so I have nothing to moan about. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

I grew up in the banquet hall business. All of those examples are from the service industry, not manufacturing.

I do get what you're saying though.

I do believe they should offer a refund to customers who have waited this long and have no definitive shipping date.
Plenty of people are upset over the issue.

I wouldn't say that I'm happy to wait, just willing...

@bearFNF
Im going to guess that the clear and black nuts are 2 totally different materials. The clear is likely acrylic and the black might be abs.
I think both have different tensile strengths.

Acrylic is almost twice as strong.

Just wondering if the siren series a whole new series of products JH is going to offer? Will it trickle down the product range and eventually replace jh16, jh13s??? Just wondering as a jh13 user.

They are entirely new products JH Audio is bringing out so the old offerings should still be there

Any idea on how they're going to differ the product lines/ or series? JH's current line is already pretty robust, offering too much variations to people to choose from might not be a good thing. Apple's iphone has only 2 products...

Just curious.

Thanks

We'll just have to wait n see what kind of magic they can make happen

Hello everyone!

I ordered some JH 16s and got them but needed a refit.

I'm happy with the product after the refit but just want to provide my perspective here.

I know most of you are still waiting for your Roxannes and I realize JH is a small operation and technical challenges always come up.

As someone mentioned before, it's really about managing expectations with customers which I think JH is doing a terrible job at.

If JH doesn't really know when they will be able to ship product, they should offer customers the option to cancel and get a refund.

It only seems fair! Customers paid upfront but no product for most after almost three months.

As yourself, is this fair?

Would the rush cause a hit in quality (ex badly places bores/drivers) that might cause a slight decrease in sound quality? I mean not just CF Roxannes, but also acrylic and JH16/JH13.

Rush order should just put you at the front of the line for getting ur ciems made. They wouldnt put their brand on the line and make things crappy
