Amazing.  We're all already certain the stock cable won't do the CIEM it's designed for justice?

Plus the stock cable has the bass tuning thingy...so aftermarket cables will need it too...

The bass tuning thingy is one of the chief things that sold me. The reviews and impressions from around the globe imo are: JH13 articulate bass but leaning toward neutral. JH16 articulate bass but sometimes too much. So I'm thinking 1/3 of my music is bass lite where I want the JH16. 1/3 of my music is bass heavy where I want the JH13. Remaining 1/3 of my music sounds good with either. Along comes the Roxanne. Can it be true? I get the best of both? At least from my brief listen at RMAF CanJam, I think so. I ordered the Roxanne and am hoping to receive before Christmas!

Well I suspected so long ago since Moon and JH are partners. I don't see why Jerry wouldn't share the connector source to Drew.

Yeah... now.. how to get the connector. It definitely can be make but the problem is the cost.

Cost has never been a problem for after market cable makers. I had a hard time finding something I like better than stock on the 13 so I also think this cable talk is premature and this cable may be better than standard offerings anyway.  Besides that, the cable looks to have four wires all the way down to the plug and not just up from the bass control. Should help with a bit of reactive noise by starring the connections at source. There's a decent amount of resistance in IEM cables so drivers can affect each other when paralleled on the same cable. Bass drivers have most back EMF.

I will say cables do make a difference I have silver cables made by Ted Allen for all my iem,s and headphones. Great looking and sound great as well. He is about half the price of most cable companies and ships in about 2 weeks or less. Great guy great products. I will email him and ask he will know.

Ok some cables are better than others electrically, does this affect audio? Probably not and if so extremely subtly. Can cables be better for other reasons? Yes, like flex, durability etc. jh13s are approx 1000 more than apple ear pods. A really top of the line silver gold cable can be 1500 more than stock cable. Are the sound differences even close to the same ball park? Imo 1000 dollars on a cable will at best net you an equivalent $10 phone improvement if not less. There are other factors such as durability as I mention but those arent SQ benefits. Yeah i mean you paid 1000 for that cable so yeah you think it sounds way better. Just like in space jam boys: drink mj's special stuff and you play like him until you realize its just water. Then you got the camp that are like "omg no way, dont use a silver cable with those cans its like omg way too bright" so here we see a better electrical cable "losing". My $75 copper cable > your $1000 silver/gold cable with super crazy shielding cuz of the phone. Look, it really doesnt make huge sq difference either way, the dudes silver/gold is better electrically and is way cooler so yeah it wins 100% of the time whether or not you say some bs that this phone needs copper. That being said both will sound the same, unless you drank some of mj's special stuff before.

I disagree with the post above mine and clearly preferred the stock cable to an expensive silver/gold on my jh13. I've heard differences with every cable I've tried, about 8, but didn't think the vast majority were better than stock. Have you actually tried those cables or just looking at it theoretically?

Maybe we should just get back to the product, one that was voiced with the stock cable. Jerry is competent so finding something better shouldn't be as easy as some think.

Apparently so;

To be provided to top 16 'x-factor' contestants:

http://www.fohonline.com/news/9616-jerry-harvey-audio-exclusive-iem-provider-to-the-x-factor.html

''Jerry Harvey Audioʼs JH Ambient FR is the worldʼs first ambient custom in-ear monitor with Freqphase technology, bass response with eight drivers per ear with dual quad low-frequency drivers''

So slightly different from the JH16 apparently, as they only have "Double dual low-frequency drivers"

This could be a mistake in the marketing or it could be to combat the ambient noise and still receive some bass response.

We shall find out more anon.

As for what it reads on his website , all of the iem,s can have an ambient vent and you choose the size. If you look closely some of the musicians have them in use.

Can anyone tell me if you need to make new molds if you are an existing J16Pro customer or can you send in your J16P's in as shells? I never got my original molds back when I ordered my 3A a long time ago.

I ordered my jh16 2 years ago, NOW I don't need new impression.

JUST make sure CALL angie and confirm with her.

They keep them on file , I do not know how long or if they shrink while getting older. Email Ellis calip he will know,. Another thought is have you gained or lost weight 30 pounds or more this can change your impressions. If you are in ny go to dr Judy Glick the impressions are free and she should have demo,s shortly.
Caleb@jhaudio.com try him ..
