I thought I dodged the delay and save some money at the same time and ordered Roxanne in the acrylic. Only to find out it's affected by the delay because it will be shipped with a CF case. I mean, it's silly, I was in the impression my order would have nothing to do with CF and I'm expecting the regular case which I already considered bomb proof.

I just want the monitors and cared only with the sound not the status symbol of having a CF. No disrespect to those who ordered the CF. But this is just plain silly.

Hello
Ok. Well post the fact that jh audio just sent you another pair
In bold. Hahaha
I still don't have mine.
anyway do a search for joker and avg joe
They both have great postes on how to
Put them in your ears.
Turn the base to min to get. A baseline for flat

When you put them in they go from front to back twisting
Also at the same time pull the front of the top if your ear up and foward
You should feel a gentil pop as they go
In. Next pull the top rear of the ear and gently push the the IEM in from the outside flat part
It should pop in more. Do this with both
Then feel the IEM s across the ear to IEM. They should feel the same
With both ears. Next test the seal by tapping a hard surface on the left and right
It should sound low but the same on both sides
If one is better. Redo the louder IEM again
It will take weeks to know how they should feel
But in the end it's great.

hmm, so in your opinion, which one sounded better?

the demos or your 2 pairs of customs?

Does anyone know if I was to put an order in for a Roxanne CF  how long the back log is on the Roxanne's due the issues they have had?

I have had the JH16's since they released them (which I still absolutely love the sound of them to this day) and have always been looking at eventually going for a second pair of customs which I was tempted to get the 16pro Freq phase when they came out but could not justify laying out again just to get the Freq phase version in what I already had (good as I am sure they are)  and was waiting on JHA to produce a new offering which they have now done in the Roxanne.

Only thing is they do not seem to of learnt much from the time the JH16's launched with respects to organisation & quality out the door which is a shame and still a concern with the cost involved and it meant to be their new flagship model.

My 2nd set for sure better fit and wider sound stage.

Hmm, correct me if im wrong but fit issues usually affect frequency response rather than soundstage.
It seems more like the effect from the change of driver placements?
Of course it effects every thing with the sound.

That's a very good question.  One that we all want answered.  I would guess, some things/answers will shake out this week or next when the new CF ovens get up and running.  Nobody even has an estimate on the total number of orders that are backlogged (could be several hundred).  By the posts on this site, there maybe only about 6-10 delivered Roxanne's in total.

I don't want to scare you off, because Roxanne is awesome and worth the wait.  But it may be a while.

Have you demoed the Roxanne?

I imagine the JHA workshop is probably full of pre-soldered driver-crossover assemblies, feverishly assembled, during the past several weeks, just waiting for CF shells.

I also imagine there's a bunch of completed acrylic Roxannes just sitting waiting for a CF case.

The cable connector-collar issue may now be solved, with improved cable assemblies in-stock at JHA (don't know this for a fact, but I suspect it is probably true).

So, if it's the carbon-fibre case-making that's holding-up even the acrylic CIEM orders, then I am perplexed as to why JHA don't simply ship the acrylic Roxannes in a standard case, and ship a CF case at a later date. I mean, sure, it'd increase their shipping costs, but it'd keep their reputation intact, and that's surely worth the outlay.

Hopefully, the forthcoming ovens should increase production speed, but for acrylic Roxy customers, there seems little reason to delay shipping, IMO.

I wish all of you Roxy customers good luck in receiving your CIEMs soon, and in good order, and sounding great.

Yes, the universal set in Orlando last November. I am a newbie and only have experience with entry level Shure universals. I was shocked and amazed with only my iPhone 5. Then used the AK 120, which to me was outer limits awesome. I intended to buy the 13 pro until I heard the Roxanne. I'm not happy about the wait, but I'm confident it will be worth it.

Just read the mini review AK240 by Jude.  Looking forward to a AK240 vs ZX1 comparison to pair with the CF Roxanne.
