Although you might not want the case that badly... it is a part of the product.

I now it is the part of the product, but I am not planning to sell Them anyway and it's just going to collect dust in my drawer. And I am going to enjoy Roxanne's much sooner.

I know:) therefore, let them send the CF case afterwards (if they are willing to).

Don't forget that besides the fact that we only see it as the 'box', for JH, it is the total experience... including the case for which they put in hours of effort for designing etc.

Besides the long waiting... and I know how it feels as I am awaiting them as well, just imagine how it feels for them when showing that the actual case in which they put effort means nothing to their customers...

Ps. I love the case so I am definately waiting for the whole package!

UPDATE:  Just talked with Zach at JH Audio.  The new ovens are ready to be picked up and Jerry has been notified at NAMM.  What does this mean?  Once the new ovens are in place, that should take the Curing/Drying time from 6 days down to 1-2.  Below is a quote from an article about how Carbon Fiber is made/what it takes to form it into useful designs. (The article is about CF being used in the automotive industry, but it directly applies to CIEM as well)

Also, it is interesting to see that to make Carbon Fiber, they burn off half of the starting components to get down to the fibers themselves.

"Alone, the strands aren't the strong stuff that manufacturers need. They're a reinforcer like steel is in concrete. Right now carbon fibers work with a thermoset resin. Together they make a composite that can be manipulated to take a certain shape. The trouble is that once the resin has been shaped and cured in an autoclave, that shape cannot be modified without screwing with the product's structural integrity. A small mistake means a lot of waste—and time. Thermosetting takes over an hour, which is a long time considering how fast the automotive industry stamps out body panels."

Perhaps I should shoot them a mail to send mine with the regular case if they can ship it now. I never cared for CF anyway.

I have the normal case also and it is a tight fit for the Roxanne's but hey do fit.  Just a little planning and cable management needed.

I use a pelican case mostly, can get my whole rig in it...but when I switch form one set of IEMs to another I like to put them back into their original case for long term.

Angie said they can't make the CF case without your earpieces, which is strange cos they are supposed to keep your ear impressions for a year or two

But then they would have to work with your impression twice, which is not very efficient IMO.

I would suspect that they need the earpiece to make sure they fit properly, The impressions are not the same hardness, have extra parts that are not in the earpiece, and do not have the cable.  Just a guess though.

Got my new set. The fitting was improved, the sound are so much better, the base is lowered down, i can listen them at full base but i'm keeping at 12pm, sound is a little sharp for treble but it's much better as compare to the demo @ MOOK. Some picture for your reference.

It still had some flaw, but much better, the surface also smoother.

2 obvious dent hole.

The negative impression is very tight for this round, took me 5 min to remove them. Gonna swap the negative impression from my old case, the right impression look a little ugly.

OK the color is balance this round and they are transparent this time. Top is old , bottom is new. A little yellowish color but they are balance, will just bare with it.

Congrats! So you specifically asked JH to lower the bass (by how much) ? Or is it due to the new fit?
