Sorry i mean the box, i had just update my post for the image, some picture missing.. bad mobile network. There is lot of flaw on the box, worse than the one Jerry showing during Mook. I don't know how it done, the only thing i can say it's probably too difficult to control.

The shell color also slight different.

Hum I do not mean to be critical as it is difficult to run a small operation, but is you intend to build small luxury products:

  • First make sure you have the capability to build them flawlessly, and when you don't, do not send them with deffects...
  • Make sure you are able to produce them in a timely manner to avoid to raise the cost by 300$ afterwards and have months of additional delays.

I am a bit concerned about my order...if it takes months and then the quality is so so / I have to get a refit, this is going to be a BAD experience.

Well, let us not hope for the worst...

Relax, i can live with those flaw, only sound must be good. My AK120 still not assembled back to casing yet, tried with my Cowon Z2, i like it. Hopefully it match with my AK120.

Surely JH knows that, but what about Bob the QA guy?

Mistakes like these exists.

I don't think that was the point. The point is, these mistakes shouldn't be accepted for such a luxurious price. I'm pretty disappointed in these early reports of bad quality control. Definitely doesn't put much confidence in potential buyers like myself.

From my experience seeing these new products spring up, quality always becomes an issue at the start (unless you get an early review unit). It'll prob get better later on. I'd probably wait at least 6 months to a year before ordering, when things settle down.

Sure there might be exceptions to the rule here and there, but I'd rather not take chances. Cheers to those who were brave enough to order the first round.

Mimouille -

I know what you mean. I received my JH 16s on 12/24 and sent them back a few days later due to a bad fit.

The canal are too long and they stick out. What caught my attention is that the top of earpiece is really thick similar to yours.

Clearly, JH didn't care about sending out a quality product. So far I'm disappointed and not sure I would buy another pair from JH.

Thx. They got my impression on 1st week of OCT. Your is CF? actually Queue number #01 but they delay for some reason i then swap to Acrylic on 4th week of Dec. From the quality of the case, i believe they had difficulty on the CF version. Hope they sort that out.

I just form back my AK120, the sharp sound is back again, Not sure why. Any expert to explain this?
