Alrighty thanks, maybe mine will change on Tuesday since USPS showed it was delivered on the 2nd of January.

And yeah, I did send them a couple of mail with no reply.

Maybe I'll drop another mail when things calmed down a bit.

Mython is correct.  We are all in the same boat.  Our molds have been sitting for weeks, if not months.  If there was a potential issue with molds becoming invalid I'm sure JH Audio and other companies would not accept them (and store them) because it would just add to their work load down the line with refits, etc.  You're asking for answers and a timeline that no one (likely not even JHA) can answer, especially in light of the current nut issue.

We are all dying with anticipation.  And living vicariously through those lucky few who have received their.

I'm confident the wait (while painful) will be worth it and these minor speed bump will all end happily.

Why do people ask questions which they already know the answer:beyersmile:

Instead of keeping yourself awake at night why not do this

or this

:beerchug:

also this

Before you know it you got a package from Fedex waiting for you.

Just please don't do this to yourself.

You are aware the these were designed to break away from too much stress. It's not a cheapness or poor design issue. It's a use or choice of tension selected issue. They will choose a higher force breakaway point or eliminate that feature completely which was only done for an extra level of protection. It has nothing to due with a lack of quality or cutting corners. Quite the opposite. Of course it's still unfortunate but it looks to be addressed.

I am aware that this is what JH Audio has claimed in respect to this problem. And yes, it is good that further damage is not being done due to this design problem. But this seems to be happening within days of Roxanne arrival. Doesn't bode well for long-term durability, unless this issue is adequately addressed in a redesign.

IMO, best to stay away until this is fixed, unless you are a big fan of shipping Roxannes back and forth to JH Audio.

Someone at Mook mentioned Jerry claiming an issue w/ cables causing the initial delay.

I wonder if fine tuning this protection mechanism was a source of contention and they just went overboard, or it was a misunderstanding between them and the supplier.

Does anyone know if current shipments are on hold until the cable issue is sorted?  I purchased during BF w/ CF and know mine is probably pushed till next month, but looking forward to further impressions :)

There is no shipping of IEMs, they ship you a replacement cable with a return tag.

They work without the nut, they are definitely going with a stronger one and will replace when available. I suspect that some owners are over tightening after inspecting their new toys. I know that I too often remove my CIEMs by their cable and perhaps some are over stressed in that manner as well. More caution should have been given to users and a bit less sensitivity built in but this isn't a dire situation and easily corrected. I think Jerry used one at a show and remade the connection about 100 times without failure. At worst it was a miscalculation on usage and sensitivity to doing it's protection thing in use.

I doubt it was this portion that caused the delay but it is unfortunate. Still, I don't understand this amount of angst over a replaceable bit. I wasn't this upset when somebody stole my AK120,

Your option of course.  But no one here has been shipping Roxannes back and forth to JH Audio.  They have been sending us cable(s) to test/fix the issue and at later time we will just send the cable(s) that broke back to them.   They will provide the label for shipment when that time comes.

I have been using mine for hours each day and I can't get enough of it.  The locking nut in no way makes it harder or the amazing sound less enjoyable.

But again, I would understand if you are in no hurry and don't want to get in line to receive one ...  Your choice of course.

My AK120 locks almost every month and I have to wait 2 days for the battery to run out so I can get it work again.  Every time I contacted IRiver, it takes them more than a week for them to even acknowledge that they saw my emails (never answer the phones).  Their best advise, keep plugging it in into the USB someday it will work :)

So yes, no need to get overexcited about a little nut that will be replaced/fixed on the upcoming days ...  I posted about the problem here to inform/share with others, but once JHAudio acknowledged and committed to fixing it ASAP, it was a non existent issue for me.

Not sure I understand your question.  Is it related to the AK120?  Or something else?

If the AK120, nothing I do works ... It locks almost every month after I uploaded new music to internal drive and the only way to fix it is waiting for the battery to drain. I tried resetting it (Power + Next), tried to connect to different computers (PC & Mac), tried to connect directly to the wall,  prayed really heard , but nothing would bring it back to life.  The screen would be all black and it would not respond to anything.  After the battery would be completely drained (about 2 days), I can plug it to the USB and it will start working and charge like if anything had happened.  This happened three times to me and I narrowed it down to this:  It happens after I've uploaded the music to the internal drive, the scan library runs and I try to shut it down from the "Scan Library Complete" screen.
