Not for me as I don't want to carry an amp but the Roxanne shouldn't be a replacement. They are different animals.

Do you have the latest runs of the amp? If not, go read the JH3A thread. I hate people who assume everything.

Hello to you, too GG. Long time no see, I did not go with the DF shell, I went with red left and green right and normal logos, yeah I know not full on custom graphics but will do for me.  I am kinda 'meh, whatever' on CF stuff in general.

Well, thinking about it a little, it was enough of a difference for me, a noob to ciems and not a pro reviewer, to hear the improvement easily in a noisy convention hall.  So I guess I really meant a major improvement in a few areas.  I also really liked the bass adjustment.  It addresses one of my concerns about bass level being not quite right on a few other phones I listened to over the weekend, was enough to tip the scale on buying them.  It was a very close and hard fought internal battle on which ones to get JH13FP or the Roxanne.

Am really intrigued by the (very few) impressions available for the Roxanne and coming from the old JH13 (pre-freqphase), am wondering how much improvement is there over the JH13 (old) and JH13 freqphase. Just to get some bearings among the JH models.

I've heard the demo of the JH13 freqphase & JH16 freqphase during the recent Mook festival in Singapore. They sounded like a whole different customs from the original. Different and better i might add. And Jerry was (and is) such a class act. Amazing guy in real life and it was really an honor just to hear some of his insights on the JH series.

That said, am frantically putting together the cash for Roxanne. I'm sure she's worth every penny.

I believe they will be, but 'The proof of the pudding is in the eating', so we shall see when they get here.

Ah, I understand. It's like me not getting skin colored shells. I just don't have much interest in it. One of the reasons I bought the JH3A was because of the bass adjust function as well so I'm on the fence right now with the Roxanne... But sometimes it's the small things that make or break things so your reasoning is perfectly understandable. The only reason I bought my TH900 and not the TH600 was because of the earcups, no other reason. Worth it to me, but some people think otherwise. Everyone's mileage varies. Thanks for using the correct quote, first time I've seen someone use it correctly. :P

Trade show demo with universal tips means only so much. Over the next few months the hype will shoot up as the first owners post impressions

Sorry, I hadn't kept up. Apparently there was a window where things were looking good and I stopped following. Don't hate me. I always acknowledge when I get it wrong.

And if it is not a step up from the jh13 but just a very slight improvement, I am not sure I will put the extra 600. But that is just me and I have not heard it. I might hear it, fall in love and buy three.

Not so much defending but a possible explanation as to why the feature exists beyond simple preference. I don't think I'll be buying it either, even if it is better. Maybe if I didn't already have 13s. I don't use my portable stuff enough right now to justify what I have in them. I just like it.

I guess things were looking good then they ran out of stock for a long time keeping many waiting, then the amp came and they were pretty much defective. Ugh.

Is there a pre order list getting started?  As a very happy customer of the 09 JH13s, I'm pretty sure I'll be jumping on these.  They seem like the next big step in IEM performance.

Yes, I'm in the preorder list.

I'll be waiting to see what JH comes up with for the other eight Sirens... Roxanne has not managed to seduce me.
