Errrr... Here have some chicken mcnuggets?

Been listening all night and someTime this morning. I like it so far. Throwing some Chesky Records Audiophile Voices at it with my 901 and it sounds beautiful smily_headphones1.gif thats my very subjective view on it. Haha

Hi All-  I've been following this thread for a while now.  Unfortunately for my wallet, I finally caught the high end audio bug after thoroughly enjoying my Westone W4's for about a year.  Now I'm looking to upgrade to either the Roxanne's or the K10's.  I understand I can't go wrong with either, but I'm interested in the opinions of those of you who have both.  If you could only have one, which would you choose and why?  Also, are there alternative flagship custom IEM's I should be looking at?  I listen to a variety of music from classical to dub step.

Just keep reading, especially the impressions thread. There will be comparisons with other TOTL CIEM's and show their differences... Personally... I don't think one is better than the other at this price point, it all comes down to personal preferences.

Thanks!  I'll keep my eye's peeled.

smily_headphones1.gif personally, I chose the Roxanne's because of the variable bass. Being able to adjust the bass to the music I want to listen to was something that I will really use when they come in. Furthermore, I loved the gimmick part of the Roxanne as well. 12 drivers and Carbon fiber... That draws my attention! smily_headphones1.gif

The variable base is drawing me towards the Roxanne's as well, although I really have no point of reference regarding the presentation and intricacies of either IEM.  Sound aside, to me, both IEM's have something to offer.  K10- customizability, perceived build quality and recessed connector.  Roxanne- 2 extra drivers, carbon fiber and case.  Decisions, decisions... :D

I think wizard can do carbon fiber if he cares to try. His designs just beat every other brands. And don't count the drivers, the number means almost nothing.

The Wizard doesn't build his ciems with recessed connectors. He uses flush ones. There was a long discussion from the good old Heir Audio days, he kept his way in the new Noble Audio too. I personally don't have any problem with any of the methods but just to clear out the point: No recessed sockets in Noble ciems.

As a side note: More drivers =/= Better sound.

Thanks for the impressions VZ. I'm glad you. Mentioned 901 since I have been auditioning the Rox with it as well. I am using the IEM card though.

My mistake- flush connectors.  I don't know.  If the K10's base hits hard enough I may go for them.  I like the idea of customizing my own set.  Either way, it's a leap of faith.
