I really want to get the Rooooooooxanne, but I might have to sell my body to the night.

Sorry, I have been needing to make that joke for a while.

Sure, if I get'em.  I doubt they'd actually give it to me for that cheap though lol.

Yes please, where did you read such "reports" from?

On the side note, what DAP would you guys recommend for pairing with jh13pro? Should I just be happy with an iphone 5? I really want to keep it as portable as possible, but if dap + a relatively small amp is really head and shoulder better then I might still consider it.. Thoughts?

Dx50? or wait for the X5. I think ppl were talking about the best player like below.

Hifiman 910>Dx100>AK120>DX50 <> X3.

I think Dx50 are better option if price is a concern.

What do you guy think if go with RWAK120B>balance out to SR71B> balance out with toxic cable > Roxanne ^^?

There will be a lot of people recommending amps or other players or iOS DAC/AMPs, but I will tell you that the JH13s sound great straight out of an iPhone 5.  I wouldn't add anything to the chain.

My portable setup is just the JH13 out of a 5S.  Sounds fantastic, super portable, and I always have the music with me.

The JH13pro are very easy to drive; they even sound good out of a Clip Zip though are improved using a DX50.  I'm very happy with everything that comes out of the HRT Microstreamer (I know it's not a DAP).  So much so that since I've started using it my iBasso D42 hasn't been touched.

Interesting, the consensus seems to be that jh13pro is easy to drive. I also felt that way when i tried them with my iphone5.
Thing is when i added a portable amp to the chain (the name escapes me) the sound became fuller and had more weight to it.

I guess i'll end up with just iphone most of the time when on the go but willing to put up with 1 more device for when on the plane, hotel, or similar situations.

The question now would be iphone + amp vs DAP...

JH13s are so easy to drive you need to mod some portable dac/amps such as the CEntrance HiFi M8 (ironlung mod)
Mod them to get rid of noise floor hiss due to how sensitive they are

M8 is good but not really portable.

If you like the iPhone 5 in terms of software, but want to add a small amp/DAC, as of iOS 7 you can hook up the HRT microStreamer to the iPhone 5 via Apple's Lightning to USB camera adapter. Totally plug and play, not power source required (as long as you have the microStreamer on firmware 1.2 or later).

I use that with my JH13 and iPhone 5. Awesome portable setup.
