New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne" - Page 96

I'm happy to hear about the treble, I was afraid it'd be too smooth for me. I cannot wait for my order, I should be in the first batch (non-Black Friday).

When I feedback to Jerry that me and Sid can hear some sibilance, he said that most probably we did not get proper seal with the demo Roxy. He told me that the tweeter driver freq range is up to 23kHz, so it is well extended beyond the normal 14-15k compared to other drivers.
For the bass, he did mentioned that if the knob is at 9 oclock, the bass is at 0 db, while the min setting at 8 oclock should be ard -0.5 db.

You mean it's actually a bass cut/boost system there?

Yeah dude!
2 knobs on the cable, 1 for each channel. Adjustable using small screw driver, from -0.5db at 8 oclock to 15db at 4 oclock

He can't take the sibilance, but for me still ok coz I'm using HD800 and TH600 at home. Compared to my 334, I do find the Roxy bass hits harder, mids a bit recessed, especially the upper mids and the treble a bit rough and sharp. So if you like the smooth high of 334, this is definitely not the iem for you. It still maintains the aggressive nature of JH house sound in the top end. For smoother and extended treble, so far nothing can beat Uncle Wilson's C435, but I haven't heard the Noble's ciem, so can't comment on them. All IMO only, so feel free to disagree with me. Jerry was ever so helpful in answering my queries and he did answer that all orders for Roxy during the BF sale, will most prob ship out in mid or end Jan. That's all for now, time for me to disturb Taeyonie again tongue.gif
I did try the 435 but still prefer the 334. Maybe the 435 sound different from uncle Wilson 435. Did you compare the demo set vs uncle Wilson set?Sorry for off topic.

The demo C435 sounds like a $250 iem, instead of $2.5k ciem. Those in Hardwarezone that have tried Uncle Wilson's C435 amd the demo C435 have the same opinions as me, so there must be something wrong with the demo C435

Trying to decide where to go from my 11s and while Roxanne's seem perfect with variable bass, I'm also a student on a budget smily_headphones1.gif

If everything is equal, then it is better to EQ down then EQ up, as most source tends to add distortion when you EQ up. However, that's really a big IF, and the reality is much more complex.

Wait for more.

I find it VERY hard to believe the mids are recessed on any JHA product. I'm not saying it can't happen, but that's not Jerry's MO.

I'd like to hear some feedback from existing JHA customers.

Really am hoping for a positive one as I'm only waiting for the Roxanne to pull the trigger on my next purchase. It's either gonna be a Roxy or the TG. or maybe a Parterre. Who knows.

I don't know if you got a chance to try MH334, i tested both TG and MH, i prefer MH even it had no titanium tube, but it sound smoother. Almost same price Roxy eh?

Yes I already have tried the MH and I still prefer the transparency of the TG at that.  The MH is really good, I just find the TG better. The demo MH might be a bit different with the CIEM MH though.
