Hi Dale,  Current lead-time is approx 6 weeks after receipt of impressions.

Seems better than end of Feb. I asked for clarification on if this was for carbon Roxannes too but haven't heard back yet...

I really really really hope so haha... That would mean that I will receive mine just after I had the GMAT test! Great timing and great way to improve my overall mood as this math and verbal exercises are killing me!

Right now I use it with my tf10 and it sounds fine smily_headphones1.gif
Thanks!

I know people that bought the JH13 and always listen out of their phone out of convenience even though they have higher end equipment at home. So, you don't need a high end DAP. These will still sound better than lower end IEMs straight out of your phone, and you can always upgrade DAPs down the road if you choose.

The X3 should be perfectly fine unless you're planning to play mp3s, as it's got some issues with mp3 decoding and isn't quite up to snuff in that regard. But at least output impedance is safe for use with multi-BAs like the Roxanne. Going by the specs, at 15ohms and 119db sensitivity, the Roxanne shouldn't be hard to drive from any low output impedance source, so an iPhone or even a Clip should be fine as well.

From my experience, I'd approach these so-called high-end DAPs with a healthy scepticism, as many of them have issues one way or the other. Just to name a few, I've tried the Tera Player, which turned out not only having too high output impedance for multi-BAs, but also bass roll-off into low ohm phones. And recently I've spent a weekend testing the Colorfly C4. Same issue there, noticeable bass roll-off into low ohm phones, and on top of that, audible interference from its LCD display whenever text started scrolling. Honestly, I'm still waiting to come across an "audiophile" DAP that's free of issues and sounds consistently better than my SGS3 smartphone with Neutron Player. As always, j2mc, ymmv, etc...

Maybe the AK10 is a good alternative... Ok it is way more expensive, but looking at cost, it is not the most expensive on the market and still portable. I haven't heard it yet, so I may be wrong with this being an other decent option for on the go...

Especially because it is focussed on smart-phone use:) It might be something to look into!

James. I can vouch for two daps that i own.. thhe first would be the ak120 this plays all my EM,S fine it has a fast GUI and is small . it has al the usual options. EQ , TAGS, .large memory as well. holds two ext chips 64 gig eaqch

the next is the HDP R10 by hibino / i basso . it is a little slower in the GUI . and sometimes needs a restart. but there has been only 3 updates unlike the dx100 . you can do the same with this as well EQ ,TAGS, ..

they both are a rip off in price but they work well . i use them daily as i takes trains every day.. and i have enough iem,s to use. the battery is good both one last though. the ak120 can be used as a stand alone dac as well

hope this helps

Sorry about my writing in the above post .

^ No problem, I got what you meant. Only had a quick listen to the RWAK100 so far and it sounded strangely warm with my FI-BA-SS, but never heard the AK120.

Actually, my customs dealer has a demo unit of the AK120, so I'll probably give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

i herd the updated one too. i like the stock one better, and i want to keep the one box solution as well. i used to carry around and amp and a dac connected to my iphone. no more.. the ak120 is small in comparison the hibino..

good luck i live in nyc if you want to hear them...

Isn't that what she said last week?

Overall I'm a bit disappointed I mean on the website it says late november and the reality looks like mid december...?!
And mid december only for the few people that ordered like in the first minutes...?
I mean even now on the Jh audio website it says late november...
For me as someone that was not able to take advantage of the black friday thing and ordered late october its a disappointment so far...

That's what I felt too. I'm kind of disappoint when JH keep delaying the Roxanne.

I order a Roxanne too but universal model, they said it would ship out in the 1st 2 week of Dec, and right now, I'm still waiting.

I am thinking the universals will ship very soon . As this is what the venders need , so you are in luck. .as for being disappointed in the wait , this part always stinks. At least you can call them. There is no one to call for many other IEM,S. I waited months for UM. To ship mine .

To my knowledge, they have not kept delaying them, they have been delayed as Nov is gone now, but that is only one delay so far and oh btw, its is still the second week of Dec, so yours are technically not 'delayed' yet...:beerchug:

I ordered in mid Oct, they charged my card beginning of Nov (which is now paid off!!), and they told me they would ship the end of Nov, BUT, you know what, I would much rather they take the time they need to get them dialed in, which is what I assume they are doing, than for them to rush them out the door.  Patience people, you know they are working on it.

Yes, they could tell us what is the delay, for sure...but they are not required to.

I know but the problem is that I will be out of country for 1 month, I hope I can have to mess with, also no one will at home to get the package for me.
