Also I should note that for on the go, say a plane ride, I will use a portable hard drive such as a usb key.  This way no external power source needed.

do you use the Asus for selection in this case?

Yes, since it is light and has a battery that can last as long as my Hugo.  I carry them all in a Amazon labtop 15.6 inch bag w/ strap.   Carry a Bluetooth mouse so as to not use up a usb port.

also like these neoprene sleeves for further protection on the go for all the labtop, Hugo, hard drives.  Are waterproof.

Strap the LCD-X's around my neck.  It's the safest place.

Thought I would post the FR curve for my LCD-X. I would assume all the FR curves for the X look fairly similar?

I get my pair tomorrow or Friday, and I will post my curve once I get it from them

You can just email them now for it. They already have it in their system by serial number. They dont send them along with the headphones anymore.

A few more curves here on LCD-X:

The later productions seem to have better HF than the earlier ones.

Did you measure this yourself or did it come on a sheet with the LCD-X? My LCD-X didn't seem to come with a frequency plot.

You have to send email to Audeze with your LCD-X serial number, and they will email you the freq plot

Btw, this is mine with the last 3 digits of the serial no. deleted

I am getting them from a store, so I am not sure what the serial number is yet

Any recommendations for cables for the LCD-X?

I have a Charleston Cable Audiophile.  Like it a lot and they are a good company to deal with.   That being said , I do think the stock X cable is good.

I use a Mogami custom cable, bass becomes shorter and the headset sounds more bad!
