I'd like the LCD-2 or LCD-X to work with my 2WPC SET amp.

I use a 1.5W 45 based SET amp with LCD-3's. Works great.

Now it does say optimal power requirement is 1~4W tho. I guess LCD-X will be best matched with good-powered solid state amps with very low noise. It certainly won't like a lot of tube amps.

I quite liked them out of a Woo Audio WA6-SE. A bit less so out of the more powerful Woo amps, though.

I received my LCD-X today. For those with experience with Audeze phones, is there a break-in period and if so how many hours?

My LCD2.2 sounds exactly the same as the first time I listened to it. How do you like the LCD-X?

I don't think there is much of one.  I'd put em' on and let em' rip!  Let us know what those babies are like!!  And pictures!

I ordered mine on October 17 and Audeze shipped it on Tuesday and I received it today. I have never owned Audeze before. My point of reference is my HD800. I wanted something different for a second system, and the X is different from the HD800. Still trying to get a good sense of it, but the words that have immediately come to mind are slam, juicy, and organic.

I'm dying of envy...

For those of you with experience in the world of high-end 2-channel speakers systems, the difference is akin to that between a Krell-based system (HD800) and a Jeff Rowland-based system (LCD-X).

Measurements pending.

Maybe it was from... Audeze smily_headphones1.gif
