I was listening Sr009 with bhse at one audiophile's home visit. It is truly beautiful at mid-high frequencies and the transparency is second to none. But, at last I prefer dynamic or ortho headphones as 009 is kind of surreal to me, making me wonders rather than engaging into the music...just my preference...

Seriously - you wear large open cans outside ? I bought a pair of NAD HP50s for that role, but even then I prefer IEMs for anything where I want isolation and ultra-portability - the X and my HD800s will never leave my front door. My LCD2s (total of about 20 hours use) might as well be a potplant at this point in time - I guess I could wear them outside just to see what kind of reaction I get  :D

At the risk of being thrown out of the 'club', I doubt I would even need headphones in country like that although I have to ask - is it a national park in the Southern Highlands of NSW by any chance ?

Wow beautiful locations, where is it? I bet listening to good music on an awesome setup like that is quite the experience, especially with some of that potplant referred to above wink.gif

I can see that. The right tubes and/or dac can make sr009 seem more "real" while still retaining the transparency.

It's Cradle Mountain in Tasmania. I've been using head-fi to enhance my travel experiences in recent years.

I think it's going to be called the LCD-Z. There's more alliteration then calling them 4's.

Yeah, I am waiting for the LCD-4 :beerchug:

Hi midnightwalker. Nice collection there. I was wondering, have you posted before which one you enjoy the most? Which one gets the most listening time? I thought about the LCD-XC but bought the LCD-X instead. I am really happy with my purchase, BTW.
