Audeze LCD-X - Page 240

I  can say the WA5 is outstanding with both the X and XC.  I love the wide soundstage the WA5 gives them and more separation of instruments.  So the WA5 or 5LE which is the headphone amp version  would be cheaper if you dont want o drive the he6 or speakers.

Any other ideas?

Liquid Fire. Sounds really amazing with the X

sounds like a bs job by the seller to me. when you had the tracking online did it even show your address as the destination address?  did he even ship anything?  File a dispute with paypal.  I have done this many times.  They take your claim and try to resolve it with the seller and if no resolution they refund your money.  Takes about a month.

Can't start a PayPal dispute or a claim because the transaction was made as a "Sending money to family or friend." Can't do that and then tell PayPal you didn't receive your goods or services. There's no buyer protection for that type of transaction.

That why you need to follow Paypal rules because if you have a dispute it works.

Yeah I'll admit I definately screwed up by not protecting myself there but the only way the seller would take my money was via friends and family do to the fact I had no trade history on head fi yet. In fact I payed the other way first and he refunded my money and said he wouldn't send them unless I used paypal friends and family which I was uncomfortable about doing and I didn't listen to my gut and stop the deal right there. Anyway going back to the post office to see what they've got to say today.

If you have a registry of that event, maybe you could do something? Anyways... what's his username in ebay? and in the forums, maybe someone else is in the same boat.

I plan on calling paypal this evening. I would prefer not to give out his name at this point as I don't want to slander him if this is in fact a USPS screwup

taking the high road is always good, at least until all stones have been overturned

Ugh. I'm sorry to hear of this problem.

Sounds like the seller is a bit sketchy... From the refusal to accept normal PayPal payment, then lying about insurance and signature required. Then not responding. PayPal may help if you have a record of the first attempt at payment being refunded, etc. Just speak to a supervisor and explain the situation. Keep bugging them until you get someone who will help you.

Also, please share the username of the seller, should it turn out his fault. To prevent them screwing over another Head Fi member. If there a classified involved be sure to leave negative trader feedback

That you have a valid tracking number and tracking says it was delivered, I'm sure the headphones were probably shipped. But without the signature confirmation that you asked for, that leaves things in a rather nasty he said/she said situation. Here's hoping whoever received them put them back out in the mail yesterday and they turn up on your doorstep soon.

Yeah I'm waiting for the mailman to show up now before I contact usps and paypal. Also the seller has gotten back with me now, he was away on business the past 3 days but said he would check with his post office tomorrow too. He also confirmed that he did send them with signature confirmation so I'm not sure where the breakdown is because USPS said there was no signature confirmation on them.
