:)

Sure, you can have my stock cable

I won't get a chance to give these a good listen until sometime next month, but so far, i find myself listening more to the X then the XC.

Thank you.

He is currently in shed, otherwise his colors are much more brighter.

Which site? The official Audeze site?

Damn, I can't believe that pun was not deliberate ... he's "shedding" as snakes slough their skin - and when they do, they appear much more bright.

Whatever, man...clearly you placed the snake as a representation of the cables you peddle, with the intention of eliciting the subconscious awareness in the readers that snakes "bite", which will brainwash them into believing that your CABLES have more "bite" than stock versions.

It's clear as day.

Talk about conspiracy theory's. Brainwashing people to think by cables are better, by posting a picture of a snake

leesure,

One would assume from your review that the only significant difference you found between the X and XC was that the soundstage of the XC was narrower, but that otherwise all of your praise for the X goes to the XC as well?

thanks!

leesure,

Oh, one other thing.....comfort-wise, were the weight and/or  clamping force of the XC an issue for you? They are the heaviest Audeze model.

OK, I have to ask. Why would someone buy both (this is not personally directed at you, I see a number of people doing this) especially at the very high cost of these phones?

This is just curiosity on my part as someone who always uses the same pair of headphones :normal_smile :

With the new ones it's an easy answer: One is open, one is closed. If you have wife/family that gets pissed off to hear music as from a bad radio, XC for the rescue.

Since you mentioned it I was more puzzled about the LCD2 R1 and R2. I do not personally see the business case there, but I am sure there is one. :))

To compare which one they like better, then sell off the other. Or maybe for different applications, one closed when you need isolation, the other for when isolation is not a must.
