For Sale or Trade:
Damaged but usable Aurisonics ASG1.3 [SOLD]
Will Ship To: Anywhere
I have a pair of ASG 1.3 that I received in a trade a while back. Unfortunately despite looking like new because they've lived in their case most of the time while I waited for the 1.3 to 2 upgrade announcement the right earpiece has developed a connection problem - if you push the cable towards your head near the earpiece it cuts out, pulling the cable away brings the sound back. Once it's working they are fully usable and you can headbang as hard as you like without issue, but I cannot say they are in perfect working order.
EDIT: I have put a small piece of paper in the socket (it's invisible with the cable attached) and now it is very hard to get them to cut out even when trying. I'm suggesting the buyer try them before sending them off for repair as I'm sure they'd be good for at least a couple of weeks and probably much longer - could be a real bargain. Just don't wear them under a motorbike helmet...
I contacted Aurisonics and have been quoted $50 to transfer the warranty to a new owner and the repair will be done under warranty (they were made in April so six months remaining), I also asked about upgrading to ASG2 and this is possible and will cost $300 plus $50 for the warranty transfer. Either way there will also be a charge of $24 for shipping back to the UK but import taxes should be avoided by them being marked as "returned after repair". As the warranty is non transferable this should be done by someone who wants to keep them.
Comes in the case with stock cable (some "greening" - I really like the colour!) three sets of stock tips (I used the pale bi-flanges so will be keeping them) and a pair of Comply T-400, brush/wire loop cleaning tool and warranty card. Price includes Special Delivery within the UK, to send them to the USA is an extra £5. For costs to anywhere else (or if you have any other questions) please send me a PM
