Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on which desktop (full size?) AMP to get.  Primarily I have a few low end headphones in my collection but looking to expand in the future and would like an AMP to properly drive them but I don't know where to start.  Music I like are electronica house, some jazz and rock.

So I've owned some V700DJs in the past; I like bass.  Right now I have some AKG 172s, XBR700 and AT M50s.  The other part of my question is that I also own a Blue Yeti USB mic which I would like to incorporate into my setup; whether or not they will benefit from an AMP I'm not sure.

Without getting too complicated with setups, I also have a USB guitar.  Would this also benefit from an AMP?

Thanks guys.. .hope to read and learn.

Is this for a Win PC or Mac?
The Fiio E10, USB/DAC/Amp, $75, I'm believe just as good as any other DAC/Amp for $75.
For amplifier only, Schiit Magni.

I'm on a Mac.  When I use my USB guitar through Garage Band I get a really bad distorted sound like there is feedback  or talk back from a uncalibrated microphone, if that makes sense.

As far as the Schiit Magni goes, which is a very interesting name... what criteria did you use to recommend that?  I know budget isn't the most when we're talking about an expensive hobby, but was that your primary driver for recommending this?

Thanks

It's a headphone amplifier that fits your budget and everyone who owns the Schiit Magni seems to like it.
