Hello, Im an owner of a Brainwavez HM5 and I find it it outstanding. Im from Argentina and I bought it from China for 140 dollars last year. Now, I want to buy good headphones to my wife and Im considering buying this ones for her. Now, however Im travelling to the States in January so I can buy her headphones there. Are there better options than the Brainwavz HM5 for that money ?

Thanks.

M50 neutral eek.gif Those things are V-shaped galore.
OP, you could try out Shure 440 or 840, At your price point for neutral what you have HM5 are right around the best. At that price point.
If you come to the US you can get the HM5 (Rebrands) for $99

It all depends on what you wanna buy

if you wanna buy cheapish ATH M50's you're gunna have to order from ebay/amazon most likely

for your price point if you want something good for your wife, I would recommend getting another pair of HM5's (I've heard them, but not owned them, and i like them a lot)

depending on where you are, a Guitar Center could carry some nice brands

Shure SRH440's will be $99 at GC, while SRH840s can be found there for $199 or as low as I've seen them at $140 online

You can find Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohms for $160 on ebay as well

so its all depending if you wanna have them shipped from online, or buy in person yourself

I recommend the akg k550's, they're pretty neutral with a large soundstage and tight bass.

SRH 840, MDR7506, Sony MDR MA900, A900x (a little warm)

All pretty neutral.

I would love to buy them online since you have more variety and better prices. My problem is that I fear having problems if I ask them to ship it to the hostel I will be staying so going to a store would be the only possibilty I guess.

Thanks all for you recommendations.
