Shure 215 vs 535 (Limited Edition) - Page 5

Ive said it time and time again. Judgements of the w4 are greatly going to depend on the equipment you are using.

If you are going to be using the iem straight out of a ipod I feel the better choice is the 535 do I feel the 535 are better than the w4 when you get into these price ranges imo no one iem is better than another.

I have ALoT of money in my portable setup whuch I more or less use as a home setup. But the sound that cones out of the w4r are nothing like I read reviews and again I think this goes back to the ajoining equipment you are using with the iem's

a bit late but ill chip in

im no expert in audio, and I don't own 535 or w40 atm

but just my 2 cents on this long rivalry

at these levels of IEM's, I believe it'll be more on personal preference and experience

I would suggest trying them out before you buy, or buy/try both, then return one

looking through the threads, I came down to this,

being an audio noob, I would go with the 535, they are easier to run and manage on a simple iphone or PC

W40 are more unique, but have more potential if amped and eq correctly

mainly depends on how youre using it

I just ordered a 535LTD, because ill mainly be using it during transit and stuff (ipod 4 w/ FiiO E17)

at home, ill be using my headphones and not much IEMs
