plantronics GameCommander gaming headset

Thread Starter

I won this unit through a raffle. it sounds amazing when i connect it to my mp3 player and computer. unfortunately, when it comes to gaming it is only compatible with a PC and I am a PS3 gamer.  it does come with a USB adapter that I tried connecting to my PS3 but it didnt work.

I understand that it is a PC headset but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I can get it work with my PS3?  Can I connect the headset to a bluetooth device that will connect with the PS3 via WIFI?

any ideas are welcomed.  If i cant get it to work, I might end up selling them on Ebay.

The Gamecon should work with an Astro Mix-Amp or Turtle Beach Systems DSS.

Might find a good price for used on eBay (used DSS would be low cost).

There might be an low cost adapter for connecting the two 3.5mm plugs to, that would then plug into the PS3

But I'm guessing you would get 2-channel stereo audio, not Headphone Surround Sound.
