That's really cool. Thanks a lot for your impressions.

Most likely I'll get HERUS to drive AKG K812 Pro with WW Platinum Eclipse 7 headphone cable and then I'm pretty much done with my rig in the near future

That's sounding OK straight from an Android phone so HERUS should be able to drive K812 just fine.

SM64 are high impedance and not sensitive as far as IEMs go.

I got an email from Mark a couple of hours after I ordered mine on Thursday, saying that it would ship as soon as they got back to the office from RMAF.

Resonessence is a small enough company that a show is an all-hands-on-deck exercise.  I am perfectly satisfied with that response.

The package randomly showed up :). I didn't get a shipping email or anything which I didn't mind at all. You could tell they were trying to get whatever they could out the door before RMAF as well.

I'm assuming you already have one but it doesn't come with the USB A > B cable. Thankfully, I have a 6 inch cable that works perfectly with this and my laptop.

Hmm. Wonder if I could get WireWorld to whip up a 6" Platinum Starlight?

I've finally got my Herus a an hour ago :-

And it works with the iPad via CCK (iOS 6.1.2)

Terrific, thanks for testing that with iPad since we could tell it really doesn't draw too much power from the USB port. That could be hopeful for pairing with Sony ZX1 once we've got a way to make OTG cables directly from WM-PORT to USB Type "B" in the future.

F885/F886/F887 and that OTG cable WMC-NWH10 should be available in a few days so there could be reports regarding non-Sony DAC/amp compatibilities.

We'll also find out how Android-friendly that Cypress interface chip is after someone has tried HERUS with phones or tablets later.

Did anyone try this little DAC/AMP at Canjam? I hope to read some impression smily_headphones1.gif. This product looks quite impressive to me.

Any other impressions (especially with Senns)? Trying to decide between this and the Geek. Draws for both. Like the pedigree and 1/4" of the Herus. Geek versions have the power.

Herus in da house!  Listening to iPad via CCK, with Fostex TH600, and streaming music to the iPad from a Seagate Wireless Plus drive.

First movement of the Dvorak "New World" symphony (Baltimore Symphony, Alsop) sounds really, really good.

So far ... :)

OMG, now we've got DSD-over-PCM with iOS 6+ devices while iPhone 5 plus this cable were already confirmed to work with HERUS

64GB iPod Touch 5 FTW? Yet another game changer in 2013 for sure.

Add a Wi-Fi equipped hard drive (like a Seagate Wireless Plus) to your stack and now your 64gig iOS device is a 1.05Tb iOS device.biggrin.gif

I wish it's really that easy but DSD files are relatively large and that might be somewhat challenging to stream that via Wi-Fi reliably.

Besides, could Onkyo app access SAMBA shares directly or is there a way to map network drives with iOS 7.x natively?

Not exactly sure if Onkyo app were able to read some files off external storage connected via USB, though.
