What would produce better sound quality Fiio E09k or Asus Xonar Phoebus (ROG)

I currently am starting to get into higher quality audio. I recently picked up a pair of dt 990s pros (250 OHM). I am now looking for something to drive these headphones. I've been looking around at the asus xonar ROG version as well as the E09K and have been unsure what to go with, the E09k paired witha e07k is cheaper but if i go for e17 its around the same price as the xonar phoebus.

The reason im looking at the phoebus  is because I do game and stream and the environmental noise reduction system would be very nice. But sound quality is my main priority.

If anyone has any opinions, used both or knows of a comparison let me know!

The Asus ROG Phoebus is designed for gaming headsets, yes it does have a headphone amp but it is more geared for gaming headset. So if you are looking at just sound quality go for the Fiio E09K or even look around a bit for the Objective 2. With that said you can get the Sennheiser PC 350 which are gaming headsets and from reviews sound good.

I have the Essence STX and the problem with it though is the high output impedance of 10 ohms, the phoebus can do <64 ohms whether that means it can handle less than 32 ohms is another story.

If I just wanted gaming first then sound I would go for the Phoebus otherwise if I want sound first then gaming then I would go with something like the Fiio E09K or something similar.

Get an Asus Xonar Essence STX, my STX is just fine at driving 250-Ohm headphones.

The STX using the same headphone amplifier chip (TI 6120) as the Phoebus & E09K

Used STX for $130, plus around $10 shipping.
