Hello.
I have this problem where sometimes when i do something on my pc for example i open a game i start a video or simply just start a skype call.
A VERY loud scrathcy noise begins and i can't stop it so to make it go away i need to restart my pc.

I don't think it has anything to do with my headphones nor my soundcard.
Because i also had the problem when i used my old headphones and my onboard audio.
( i currently have the ad700x and a soundblaster z )

Do you have any idea what the problem might be? It is really annoying!

Sorry if i have spelled anything wrong i come from Denmark :) .

You say you have a soundcard AND on-board audio?

It is likely they are conflicting and you need to turn off the on-board audio in the BIOS to terminate it properly.

Or your soundcard is simply conflicting with your motherboard or software.

First try updating your divers to the current driver.

Failing that, try installing the soundcard on a different PCI slot as in rare cases upgrade hardware works better on a different slot.
