You'll want to look at home audio subwoofers. A subwoofer doesn't care if it's used with a computer or home theater setup
Also, be wary of "most popular" subs based on online retailer reviewers since most people don't have a lot of experience comparing subs. They just like what they have purchased because it sounds good to them, and there may be much better values.
What is your setup? Depending on what make/model speakers (and/or amp) you have, you might need a certain type of connections to best hook up a sub.

. You might read and ask questions there. Be sure to let them know you are in Canada (since you mention FutureShop). Unfortunately, Canadians don't get the kind of deals on subs that those of us in the US do.
Doesn't look like there are many subwoofers in your budget range at FutureShop. The Polk PSW10 is a pretty good price/performance value for $100.
