Looking for an affordable & portable on-ear headphone option, mostly for school and transiting to...

Hi! My name is Ashley and I was wondering if anybody could help me out here, because there are so many choices I'm getting a bit overwhelmed. I've always been strictly an in-ear headphone user (right now I have a pair of Bose SIE2i's, which is unfortunate because the controls don't work with my new S4), but lately I've been itching to switch to something on-ear. Most of my time is spent at school and going to and from it (University student), so I'd love to pick something up with some noise isolation, lack of sound-leakage, and maybe some inline controls that would work with my phone (S4). I went through the Summer Buying Guide on here and saw a few that looked promising (Koss PRODJ100, Philips CitiScape Uptown, Shure SRH440), but I'd love to get some more input on it!

(I also know somebody selling brand new in box Monster Diesel VEKTR's for $90, unsure if that's a good option).

Thanks so much for your help!

With full sized headphones, over ear may give you a little better isolation than on ear.

Check Innerfidelity's Wall of Fame lists. Good place to find excellent headphones. Each headphone typically links to a full review:

So as far as bang for the buck - This is a right now type of deal - but grab the VMODA M80s from radioshack for $40. They are on ear, not over ear, but its a hell of a buy and they are more durable than the ones you listed.
