If there's one thing I've noticed about the SHE9000's compared to other budget IEMs I've tried it's that the frequency response has more roll-off in the upper high end. (I don't know if the SHE9000's have a distinct roll-off or just a less V-shaped response.) I can see how some people might dislike this but I quite like it, the problem is that it doesn't seem very common in this price range. I bought a pair of the popular SHE3590's last week and they are much more crisp and thus more unpleasant to my sensitive ears.
I've also heard the SHE9000's described as warm if that helps. I'm mostly looking for a potential replacement when they give out.
