Entry level first phone: Sennheiser HD 202 vs Shure 240

Hi there,

First post. Let's see if I get it right.

I read a few discussion about both phones mentioned. My particular taste is basically instrumental music (piano, flute, guitar, ...). From classical to latin instrumental music.

The main features that I look are ambience and naturalness. I had the opportunity to test (this kind of shop test, i.e., really fast and with musics that are really boring) both and could not decided or realize the difference between both.

What you guys think about it, considering my particular taste?

Thanks a lot

Cheers

Ps. The Shure 240 and 240A are the same?

Ok. Nobody?

I realized that the SHR240A is a kind of "upgrade" model. Almost the same thing with a bit more comfort.

Thanks.

Hmm I would go with the shure 240A/240. The 240A is for Mobile phones since the impendence is 38 vs the 240 with 44. Also the 240A has a 2 meter cable while the 240 has a 3 meter cable. Also from the description the 240A is professional quality headphones and the 240 is professionsal studio headphones
