I have an HP laptop that i decked out for gaming, but the only thing i can't change is the sound card. I am looking for something around $70, preferably something with a dedicated amp. I don't really care what kind of connector it has as long as it isn't PCI.

Asus Xonar U3 or Creative X-Fi Go.

Both are USB sound card, the 50-Ohm HD558s should work fine with either one.

I also like to follow you around when you go into Starbucks, I like standing right behind you in line.

Here's another option: Cakewalk UA-1G, made by Roland. Very good sound for the money. Try it out if you have the chance.

I cant seem to find a UA-AG, but i can find the UA-1G.

I cant find anyone selling one of these that is in good condition. The one they have at guitar center looks a bit beat up, and its in Hollywood, CA.

Sorry, I ment the UA-1G.; I never heard the UA-1EX, I think it's the model prior to the UA-1G, don't know which one sounds better.

I know you said around $70 but if you could stretch the budget by $20 or so you can get one of these.

The value add is two stereo outputs each with a separate volume control. Plus a full version of Traktor.

I don't know if you can get them within your budget, but you can look into the Xonar u7 and Sound Blaster X-FI HD.

Greetings,
